I keep contacting merchants on Clickbank about the same thing - a free report to pre-sell the main product by providing useful but incomplete information.

Unfortunately most of them don't even respond to my email - they just want things to run on autopilot instead of working with affiliates to optimize their campaigns.

It sure makes sense to me... when I find a site I like, I'm always happy to find some sample information or a free report. Being a pretty skeptical buyer, :-) it definitely makes it an easier buying decision for me if I get a free taste of what I'm thinking about buying.

Haha, yeah, I find genuine clickbank screenshots really rare these days. Seems that even clickbank has fake earning reports as ads on there.

Tell me about it dude, I rarely get a response either. Which completely amazes me to be honest, if I was a Vendor then affiliates would be at the top of my list of prioritys for sure.

This Vendor was cool though, I requested the preview page and he sent it to me within a few hours.

The size of this particular list of mine is 1,100. However I only sent this broadcast to around 700 of my subscribers because quite a few are still going through my follow up messages.

I don't sell anything in the IM, just a personal preferance of mine. I mainly only sell relationship/dating products. It's a desperate niche and it tends to convert well. From personal experience I have found that women convert far better than what men do.

At the beginning I built my list solely through SEO. However, around December last year I decided to diversify my traffic sources because relying on Google is a dangerous thing to do.

At the moment I would say around 60% of my traffic is from Google. 30% from Blog Commenting, and 10% from Articles scattered round the web. Most of my efforts have been on Article Syndication this year, but I just cannot seem to get any worthwhile traffic. It was a PDF which I uploaded onto my website. It was around 8 pages of quality content, and the last 2 pages were explaining what they would recieve if they bought the product.
