Forum Posting for Traffic

Forum posting is a tried and true method of traffic. Many people cringe at the thought of forum posting. Others get angry. Do you forum post? Are you one of the 5% who do it well? Are you one of the 1% who do it well and enjoy it?

Forum posting does not have to be work and you do not have to be loathed for being a forum poster.

Forum posters can add great value to any forum. They need to post so they post often. To be a top 5% forum posting you must do the following:
  • Read. Read the OP's post read what other's have already said (all of them).
  • Understand. Understand what the OP is trying to convey. Understand what others are saying.
  • Add Value. As a forum poster you read (A LOT) and that gives you the unique ability to possess a wealth of knowledge. Use you knowledge to comment on other's threads or refer them to a thread which is helpful to their post. Or start a new thread that adds value to the forum.
I think what makes a top 1% forum poster, when all is said and done, and there is nothing more to say but they still need to post... .. they inject humour into our lives. And that, while it may be off topic, is to me, a top 1% forum poster. Because sometimes, I think, we all could use a little humour in our busy lives.

So you know where I stand. What do you think?

I kind of disagree with you in some methods though because where you said 5% post well and 1% post well and enjoy it what about the people who enjoy it but don't do it as well. The thing is is for forums like warrior forum where even simple threads get several hundred views, a simple post can get your signature link 10-20 views which is not a lot unless you have thousands of views. Plus for some people such as me who just joined, I love the warrior forum already due too the large amount of information on it and can't wrap my head around all this without even purchasing the war room which I heard has a lot more

Hopefully as posting here, I can learn a lot more I can soon have the ability to be known well enough that I am considered a top 1% poster but for now I am just a starter.
To me, forum posting is like social networking---I do it because I enjoy it, I learn things and I can help others.

The fact that I can get additional benefits from it is something extra for me.

However, I would like to correct something, travian, that you may not be aware of.

The War Room membership is not a lot more unless you consider a $37 one time life time fee a lot.

Just one piece of software I got for free in the War Room was selling for that and there is a ton of free stuff in there that you would not believe. Once I even got 5000 quality backlinks tied to my keyword!!!

Sorry to digress off the topic, Christine's Dream, I just wanted to clear that up for them.

Great information and in case the newer members don't realize it, forum posting is effective in all niches not just IM....that is, if you do it correctly as Christine stated.

"Building quality relationships with potential buyers" would be how I would phrase it. People buy things from people they feel they can trust, and when it is apparent the posting is about link placement, I think it is a waste of time both for the buyer and the seller in most cases.

@Travian. Yeah. My comments about "posting well" definitely exclude newbies. How can a newbie make good posts -- they can't until they learn. Of course.

      Good to have you aboard.
