    Because Google said so

Seriously.. Google changes page rank scores like I have hot dinners.. don't worry about it, some of my best performing sites have low PageRank

Your site is just a destination for traffic, you don't need to fall over at Google's feet to make them happy, drive traffic, don't wait for it..

    Peace

I have to agree with Jay, focus on traffic and not on PR. I have a site with only PR2 but have so many advertisers because of traffic. G always change their algorithm so focus on other traffic methods. Optimize your site with long tail keywords and you will feel the heavy traffic in the future.

      Hi,

PageRank, I've noticed, doesn't really have a whole lot to do with nothing...

Sure it may be a measure of how good the incoming links to your
site are, but for SEO and other things, it makes no difference!

      Jamie

      [EDIT]

      Why it happened you ask...

Because Google said so, as Jay stated!

      [END EDIT]

True I have to agree with all said above. Too many webmasters are worried about Page Rank. You should get targeted traffic than Google Page Rank. Get your site rank top 10 in search engines and you will have tons of free traffic. Period.

Of course the above advice is right.

      I'll add...

      1. Toolbar PageRank - the one you see in your browser - is not the same as True page rank so it's not something to get worked up about.

      2. If you've lost TRUE page rank, it's not just about what sites link back to you, it's about what and how many sites you link out to from that page, relative to what and how many sites linked back in to it.

Bottom line, as above, don't stress

Hi, okay so your goal is to be found easily in the search engines. How do you do that? By promoting your links?

Just build proper links on your site each day through different niches get it indexed and eventually will get you on Google 1st page in no time...but as we know it would really takes a lot of work.
