Do people buy TVs online?

I am not certain about TV's, but they probably do. In general, yes, humans do buy big ticket items online, from what I understand.

I bought a 1080 32" online a couple of months ago. I like to find big ticket items online because they're generally cheaper than in a store (especially true for photography equipment; unless you go to one of two NYC photo stores, you're paying nearly MSRP amounts for photo gear).

I have heard that people buy tractors too...
Look in amazon itself whether the product u r promoting are bought by people in amazon.

I personally wouldn't enter a high ticket item, especially in electronics. This is because I think generally alot of people go online to compare prices and then go to their retailer to actually buy. The conversions I have found are not as great as lower-ticket items. But this is all from personal experience.
If you have found a lower competitive keyword I say go for it and see

Yes. In fact, I enjoy selling high ticket items online because the typical consumer of high ticket items have already read a bunch of reviews and pin-pointed what product they want to buy and will search endlessly to find that exact model for the cheapest price. All I have to do is provide an in-demand product for something people are already searching for at a competitive price of maybe a dollar less than my competitors, and my sales are almost instantaneous. Not everyone can do this without a very good understanding of protection against fraud.

My last two tv's were purchased online.

People do buy TVs online but if there is any problem with it... the hassle of having to send it back, and pay for the shipping of such a big item may offset whatever you're saving.

Unless you're buying from a very respectable seller with experience and a reputation on the line if he scams you.

The Best Seller ranking could be used as an indicator to see how well certain models of TV are selling on Amazon.

If you look at some of the expensive televisions being sold on amazon and check the reviews left for the tv's at amazon then you will know that people do buy high priced items such as televisions online

Many people buy TV from online because shortage of time and they don't like to go market or stores in crowd. Buying TV online from sites like Amazon will usually offer you the reasonable and low price.
But for mostly people, the service angle should be more important, than price. Brick-and-mortar stores,like Best Buy and other stores, provide more options for delivery and set up.

For sure people do.

With the bigger amounts people first choose the right model offline, then they purchase it online.
(and that's even what I do myself...)

Yeah, people do buy TVs online and these days many do research on products , touch , feel at showrooms and then purchase it online. As long as you give a good user experience it should be fine. But a thin sites are not a good option to sell highly priced products. Mostly users go after bigger sites when it comes to purchase

Just make sure you put some kind of social proof like review, ratings, etc because that thing gives people assurance to buy from there

Yes of course. I always buy all electronics online. In case of LCD panels, I'm used to choose them in the offline shops because I want to compare their picture quality by my own eyes. After that I go to the Internet and find the cheapest price on the model I've picked already and then order it online, because it's always cheaper.

Yep, no matter how big the product, I will look to buy online first.

The research I've seen suggests that a majority of consumers now research major purchases online. Many of them will do this and then buy the bigger ticket items at a brick and mortar shop. I personally see this trend as continuing to evolve to a point where people will be more and more comfortable buying big ticket items online. You may have noticed that shops like Good Egg have launched campaigns to pump up their customer sastifaction rep.

However, the smartphone tosses a new dimension into this. People use them to price compare with apps designed for that purpose and they do this comparison right in the stores (some stores have actually tried to deter this). The irony here may be that the smartphone may actually bridge that gap from the PC to the store and bring more people into traditional shops to buy. Technology which travels is a complete game changer.

I don't have any problem buying an item such as a TV online as long as the rep of the seller is good and the warranty is solid.

more than buying online tv's people are usually interested in watching online tv shows using their computers!

I bought a TV online about 3 months ago! I love it. I buy everything online, even food. I have agoraphobia, like millions of other Americans, so going to a regular store is very difficult for me. The internet is my lifeline!

They do as long as the company they're buying from is reputable. Everyone knows and trusts amazon so you shouldn't have any problems with sales.

yes i bought 2 tvs 54 inch online also my fridge freezer and washing machine,much cheaper online.

I bought my last TV online as a matter of fact. Not through an affiliate site though. I didn't even Google search or anything like that. All the information I wanted was available on mainstream websites.

It's just a personal experience though. I'd think that there would be others who would look for standalone review sites before making their purchasing decisions.

True story: I have actually sold a grand piano as an Amazon affiliate. It floored me when I saw what had sold. I made around $200 commission just for that one sale. Lesson learned: people will buy anything online.

Since there's lots of places that advertise TV's online I'd assume that people are buying TV's online.

I bought my Samsung LED TV 40'' on Amazon. And I would do it again and again.
Often people go to speciality stores and see what TVs they like most; after comparing some prices (Amazon ist TOP when it comes to good pricing!) many decide to buy online. I've seen a statistic from GfK stating that 15% of electronic goods in Western Europe are purchased online.... and figures were rising double digits.

All kinds of large products get sold online. Believe it or not, a decent amount of furniture gets sold through amazon...Another area where you can score in terms of commissions.

online was back in 2001!

I bought my recent 47" TV online.

Today I sold a Samsung 51 inch TV, warranty and mount bracket through Amazon as well as some unrelated items including a $400 camera lens, TV's and accessories sell just fine.

I bought a TV online. A $7k purchase and of course it went through an affiliate link. Then an interesting thing happened - no commission was reported. After conducting an investigation and getting documents it turned out the merchant was fraudulently carving big commission items out of the affiliate network. You have to be careful with the big ticket items.
