Internet Marketing Statistics?

Hello my fellow warriors,

I was wondering if there are any sort of statistics regarding internet marketing.

For example, how many people are having a go at the IM niche? How many people are coming into the niche yearly, monthly or daily?

Is there anything of that sort out there?

    Well, we have read some statistics. There will be more than 1 billion Internet users by 2010. The conversion rate for the industry is about 0.5-1.5 per 100 visitors.

      I don't think it would be possible to track such statistics. Think about it. There is no "central body" of internet marketing where people have to register so the whole thing is a free for all.

      That being said - Forget all others, concentrate on yourself, and figure out the very best strategy to go out there and make money!

      How's that for a mixture of Zen and IM?

        We remember another statistic: the average income for the IMers who MADE IT in the industry is $5000-10000 per month. Also there are some guys making millions.

        Hey Justin,

        Yes I am well aware of this, but maybe someone did some type of collective study with various statistics from several sources that would give a very rough estimate.

        The SERPs could quite possibly come up with a number based on IP adresses and other variables.

        I'm just guessing that if the number is high (which I bet it is and it goes up exponentially) there is enough to go around for everyone!

    Question 1: 4,384.
    Question 2: 380 per month.

    27% of people will think I didn't just make those figures up.

    4% will have a more accurate answer.
