No list, No website, No Product... now what? [Strategies for a Newbie]

Hi Fellow Warriors!

There are many WSO's and products saying you can make money without a website, without a list and without a product- to only find out later you need a website to sell PLRs or they teach you how to build a list.

You say to yourself, "But the sales letter said I don't need a website or list?!"

I wanted to start a thread that shows how a newbie CAN make money online even if it's a few bucks in your pocket. It's the few bucks that shows up in your account that re-ignites the passion to pursue what seems to be a personal struggle for years.

When I received my first $25 online, it changed my world. I proved to myself that making money online is acheivable and it can be done!

It's the spark that get's the creative juices flowing, the passion burning, and the desire to press onward.

So, fellow Warriors, share with others how to do it. I don't want this thread to be one sentence wonders:

Example:
* create articles and send them to directories.
* become an affiliate and sell other people's stuff.

...this doesn't help anyone!

Take time to share in detail how to do it. Share personal experiences. Reach in your goodie bag and give some resources.

Blessings!

A good one I got started with was brokering services.

I have always said, "A good marketer simply finds someone
who wants something, and gives it to them!"

That, and basically anything else that involves buying low and selling high.
Good old arbitrage, its a beautiful thing

Adsense is a great place for newbies to earn their first few bucks.

Its easy to get income going on a small budget with niche sites ,but if you don't want to outsource be prepared to do a lot of work.

Niche sites for adsense or amazon are always a good start. That is what I did when I started. There are plenty of threads and good wso's for getting things going. I suggest taking the time reading some of the threads not related to wso's and take notes. There is a lot of information here and as always ask questions. Most important is stick with one project and take action!

Why don't you start by sharing some of your "goodies"

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

      Good point

In 2009 I was very passionate about a Clickbank Mall-type website and it had a competitor that charged more and sucked. Little did I realize, I was stumbling into article marketing and all I wanted to do was make other fellow IMer's realize that there was a far more superior CB Mall website for a lower monthly fee and better support. I sent the article out with my affiliate link and I made $24.95 in a few days and the next month another $24.95. Because this was recurring monthly fee, I made about $50 buckaroos every month for about 9 months. Not bad, for one article and never looking at it again. Looking back, I wish I would have honed in on that method and multiplied my success in 2009. Article marketing is a different game all together now. There are a gazillion writers writing false reviews and empty promises about programs they never purchased.

I have done much better selling services to fellow IMers to protect their digital products, to increase website visibility, and bring relevence to their sites. I provide much needed services to a hungry group of internet marketers at a great price for high quality work.

I am NOT RICH, but the extra money is paying the bills and extras for nice dinners and trips.

      Peace.
      Jeff

Dave, can you expand on this a bit?

      Any details will be helpful.

You need articles right? I don't have any and I'm really bad at writing articles. I do though know someone who's brilliant at it so I'll ask you how much you want to pay, I'll then ask the writer how much he wants to be paid. I'll then take a cut of it and be the middle man.

You can arb any product or service, on or offline. If you can find a buyer willing to pay more that the seller is willing to sell it for then you've got a deal.

Edit - But the buy/sell has to be done simultaneously so as not to expose yourself to market conditions.

    Hi there

One of my first online projects back when i first started was with Youtube, a simple system that works

What i did was created a video in a certain niche area of which i had done my homework and i knew there was a market

I put up a video just detailing the outline of the information i was offering, i then simply said if you want to know more then click on the link below

When they click the link they go to a simple squeeze page, on the squeeze page the prospects can leave their details and get access to a free report. But after they have left their details they are then told that even better than the free report they can purchase a series of 15 downloadable videos or have the videos sent in DVD form, the videos are in way more detail than the free report.

The squeeze page converts at something like 45% opt in, the people that do not purchase the videos then get auto responded messages reminding them of the videos.

We have gone on to set several of these Youtube systems in place

Now here is the cool thing, the cash that comes from these simple Youtube systems we then use to reinvest in traffic in larger ventures we have online meaning in a way we get free traffic because the Youtube systems just run on autopilot apart from the very odd DVD to post out because 99% of people who purchase the tutorial videos simply go for the downloadable version

This is fact, it works, and any newbie that has some information to offer can do this easily.

    All the very best

Good advice here. I have admit, I've avoided doing YouTube videos and reviews. It all seems a bit too techy for me. :p

They way it is laid out makes more sense to me. It's great that real people are making money off of this method.

        Thanks for the share!

There are ways that you can make a few bucks without a website, a list or a product - for example, do product review videos and upload to Youtube, with an affiliate link in the box below. But it is difficult to take it much further than just a few dollars. To do this, you really do need a website, either promoting other people's products or your own, and always building your list.

The thing is, this should not put newbies off. It is not that difficult to do, and this way you are building a real business. The biggest problem with the 'make a million without any work' type sales pitches is that they are just building false hope. IM can be a great business & very profitable, but not without putting in effort and treating it as a real business like any other.

OK, this will not cost you any money.
    1) create a blogger blog.
Post pics and content of an amazon product you want to sell.
    2) create a you tube account.
Make a movie of you using the product. If you do not have it, borrow it from a pal.
Put the movie on your blogger blog.
Build links going to your blogger blog using social networks - no spam.
    3) Become an amazon affiliate and get sell codes.
Put these in your blogger blog and start selling for amazon.
    4) Sign up on Google plus, twitter, etc. AND start promoting your pages.
Start exchanging links with friends and getting them to link to you.
    5) Keep adding more content every day of every year.
After a while sales will start to come in.

Problem with this strategy is that Google might shut down your blogger blog and you tube account.

If i had to start all over again, i would start off with article marketing, forum marketing, and video marketing. When i first got started, i went to PPC and wasted a fortune. Then i made the decision to learn how to run my business on free marketing alone. Soon my business took off, and right now free marketing is my main method of getting traffic... even tho i do VERY light advertising.
