Can someone please explain in more depth what lists are exactly?

I know that it's something to do with collecting emails then mass-emailing them about a certain product or something like that?

Anyway, I was wondering how this could be used on a free blog?

And does this need to be done through CPA?

Thanks.

    Its pretty easy stuff man.

    Granted,there are a few different types of lists;

    -direct mail (or snail mail lists) are a collection of peoples home addresses & zip codes
    -Telemarketing - a collection of phone lists

    And the most popular;
    -email lists - This is where someone signs up to your autoresponder
    with their email in exchange for free information. Then you follow up with them
    with sequential advertising messages, designed to nurture a relationship of trust, then make sales.

      And the CPA provide you with the autoresponder?

        Hi Ewan,

        An autoresponder is someone like AWeber. When you sign up with them you create an email campaign and a 'sign up' box for which they provide you with a html code to upload to your website. They then capture emails from people who sign up to your site. This allows you to mass email to the list that you build up in this way.

        Hope that helps.

            There is no way to predict that.

              I would say though, having just noticed that you are only 13, that before you sign up to anything check out where you stand legally as, certainly in the uk, you cannot enter a legally binding contract at your age.

                You mean with the CPA company?

                Can't you legally enter your parents details and your being "employed" by them.

                  No, you cannot legally sign someone else up for something and say you're employed by them.

                  Yeah if you want to get your parents into a heap of trouble.
                  Also, you do know there is a search function, top right under your
                  username that works very, very well :rolleyes:

                  What is a list:
