Affiliate Marketing Tips?

Hello,

I am new here and have been searching the warrior forum for days. I finally decided to post to see if I could get some help. I have done affiliate marketing years ago and did very well. It was during the time of Overture, which became way too expensive. Now that I am a stay at home mom and want to get back into it, I wanted to see if some warriors could give me some tips on how they actually make money doing affiliate marketing. Since I am now a stay at home mom, I can't afford to pay for advertising... So here is what I am doing right now. I have generated some money but need to find a way to take it to another level...

Here is what I do:

-Article Marketing
-Website SEO
-Classified ad posting

I would love to know any hints, tricks, etc... !! so that I can make more money for my little one. If anyone cares to share any ideas to help at a stay at home mom, it would be really appreciative.

- P.S. I've already spent a good chunk of my money on WSO's and software that doesn't work and can't really afford to buy any more....

    For Website SEO, I focus on the basics: Keywords, Updated Content, and backlinks.

    Once niche that has done really well for me is working only with sites that are free to join and also offer free ways to make money.

    I offer some tips/thoughts/options. Opinion only! Not everyone will agree with me.

    (i) Don't try to do any sort of affiliate marketing without building lists and using an autoresponder;

    (ii) Don't try to start off any business that's going to be dependent on search engines for its primary traffic: this is really stacking the deck against yourself, these days;

    What you are doing now is a great start. As long as you keep the content updated on a regular basis, the topics are catchy and grab attention. You will generate followers. Joining forums (which are free), submitting to directories (with different page rank) a good one I use to find free directory submissions is directorycritic.com

    This site vretoolbar.com/articles/directories.php lists the top 50 article directories you can submit your content to.

    You can also choose adsense alternatives and monetize your site with cb tag clouds to generate a bigger profit. Tag clouds work just like adsense does but you make more money.

    Hi, I would join the War Room here at the forum because you can find tons of great info there.

    If you want to promote an affiliate product, make sure your site has 25 pages of relevant info on whatever keywords you are targeting. Use SEMRush and Google to find keywords. Try and make each page 1,000 words and make the first page a promotion (pre-sell) of whatever product your site is promoting. Write articles and submit to ezinearticles.com with a link to your site. Start a newsletter and post the opt in form on your site. Give away a free ebook on your subject area.

    Even better, create a report (on something you are an expert at) and sell it on a website yourself and use paypal to collect payments. You could also build a list, give away a free report and so on. Use Youtube, ezinearticles.com etc.

    You can also use fiverr.com because their work is only $5.00 a gig. Sort by Ranking first.

    There are lots of other things, but that should get you thinking.

    NY1 and keblack have some awesome suggestions. It all comes down to what business model you want to choose. My mentor and I put together a product based on squeeze page systems because the list is what will give you sustainable income because once they are on your list, you can sell to the over and over again until they get off your list or keep them for life. I know this is not much but this is what I have learned. Affiliate Blogging is good. I have a inexpensive product on this if you are interested. Let me know if that is of interest to you.

    Build an email list, then market to your leads. Make sure you have your own website that you can use to cloak your affiliate links. Or use an HTML clocker that you can use to hide your affiliate links.

    To get traffic, use a wide variety of techniques that can bring you new visitors. The only thing you can spend money wisely on is for a website, and an autoresponder.

    Give free stuffs to people and build your list. Then you can earn massive amount of money on the backend products.
