WSO Sellers Be Warned...

This is just a heads up for WSO sellers out there. There is a lady going around purchasing and requesting refunds from people left right and centre. I will not use her name but you will be able to recognize her from the messages she writes.

It originally happened to me when she asked for a refund of my product back on the 29th of December stating:

"So sorry, but as I am having computer issues (think its a virus) - I am unable to do this program at this time - pc keeps freezing and crashing in middle of videos, and other issues. Since I cannot use this, I would like to request a refund.
Thank you"

Although I was a little skeptical I refunded her at the time.

About 5 weeks later I got another email from this same person asking for a refund but this time the transaction was for a Clickbank product she had just purchased and had nothing to do with me. Her excuse for the refund was quite interesting though...

"I thought I would be able to do this, but did not realize it was something I had tried already and could not do. I really am not looking for anything that would involve this much time. I am respectfully requesting a refund, and will pursue other ways to start a part time business, but I do apologize for the trouble.
Thank you"

I told her this was not my product and I could not give her a refund.

Today, almost 2 weeks after that request I received an email for yet another refund request from her, for that same Clickbank product above which I do not own, and her reasons for refund this time were:

"I am respectfully submitting request for refund as I am unable to use the program due to computer problems,
Thank you"

This is for the same product she said two weeks ago she couldn't use for completely different reasons.

To confuse me as the vendor for a product twice tells me this lady must be doing a LOT of refunding and as always happens, it finally caught up with her. They're never the smartest people.

I will be reporting her actions to Paypal so they can look into things but other WSO sellers just be warned if you get any emails like that. This person is a serial refunder and scammer.

  • Thanks man. There are a lot of people with weird excuses for their refunds - I have received similar emails from different people.

The problem is not so much with them stealing the stuff - it just makes your stats look bad.
  • Or...

She could just be a blonde.

    Stranger things...:p

    • I'm a blonde! What are you trying to say!!!

  • Thanks for the heads up on this Will.
  • Yep, it happens - sux, but it happens.

I'm amazed how many people ask me for refunds of stuff I don't own or sell. Seriously weird!

  • What do you say we all chip in and buy her a new computer so she doesn't have any more computer problems lol
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • I feel like 'chiping in' by throwing a bucket of glue over her, then throwing loads of feathers on her (just like in Home Alone 2)

People like that are ruining it for others, but unfortunately this stuff happens.

Well dont Will for letting us know.
  • Sometimes I wonder what's worse, bad sellers or bad customers. As a customer, you can get a refund from a bad seller, who's lazy and just wants your money. On the other hand, getting a refund for wasted time, bad stats and a possibly pirated product isn't possible.
Wouldn't that be something? Getting a refund from your customer (:

  • Thanks for the heads up.

I don't really see how to prevent her from purchasing, I guess it's just something we have to deal with.

    • It's more just a 'keep a look out for' type deal. She seems to use the same excuses over and over. I don't think even a blonde would be this stupid.

Maybe she is outsourcing her refund requests. Now wouldn't THAT be funny?!
  • The excuses people give sometimes, are just so ridiculous, you can tell they are lying.
But, that's their problem not mine. Its a shame though.
I don't think you can ever be successful in this industry as a serial refunder.
  • People who keep asking for refunds, forget (or not aware that) they have their limits with PayPal as well as it is the case with credit cards.

When PayPal keeps getting requests for refunds from the same buyer, they would certainly take an action against this member account.

Make sure if the buyer is playing dirty to let him open a dispute case first (don't start with the refund process). So, PayPal be aware who is initiating the refund process.

Don't wait until it turns into claim unless you want to go with it. I usually keep a massage in the dispute to make PayPal aware of what this buyer is doing.

If she is a serial refunder, it will be a manner of time before PayPal take care of her

  • Many thanks to let us know Will. Nowadays it happens quite often. As some people try to buy good stuff and then ask for a refund.

  • Maybe she's not even a woman.
  • Thanks for the headsup, Will.
