An Important Rant!

Warriors!

I see a bit of problem here.

And I don't know whether I'm the only person seeing this or is everyone else feeling the same way?

I see that a lot of warriors are just indulging in talking about the WF!

While a little bit of that is OK and useful (this rant for one is a WF discussion), bu8t when in a marketing forum most of the threads are about th forum itself and not marketing, then it really looks unhealthy.

I think this reflects how obsessed with WF we all are, and bear in mind there is a fine line of difference between passion and obsession and if you don't stop posting m0ore things about WF instead of marketing, I think the value that we can all dervie and provide will significantly go down.

Again, this is not to say that discussions about WF should be stopped or discouraged. I'd rather say that if we could have more discussions about something that is more internet marketing related, It would add value!

What do you think?

I'm sure it will settle down once people get used to the new scenery, should have seen it last night - it was ALL about the forum, now there's a 25/75 split.

    Kindest regards,
    Karl.

I think it's to be expected with a new forum like this It's fun! Like celebrating the opening of a new work building or something. Everyone is sure to compare, contrast, praise, and rant.

It will die down soon enough, and we'll all return to our "shop talk"

Nothing unusual about talking about something shiny and new for a few days. And in this case, lots of these posts have had good info. about how to actually use the features of the forum.

So yeah there have been a lot of them - heck this is one - but I've found them more of a useful nature than an intrusive nature.

IMO today has got everyone in here. It's like an open house. We're all hanging around, catching up with old friends, dunking donuts in our coffee, joking about. The novelty will dissipate over the next few days. As you should know, we all suffer from very short attention spans. Oh look, a chicken!

It'll be back on topic once the forum stops amazing people.

Its a community and people talk, especially when their home has been renovated. It's like a 100,000 large family just walked through the doors in a "Trading Spaces" show and are commenting on the furniture. It will settle down soon enough and people will be used to the new surroundings.

            Hey Lakshay

Part of being a marketer is understanding human nature. When the place where we spend so much of our online lives undergoes such a radical change, it's natural to get a bit excited.

Have you seen how many warriors are on the forum right now? It's party time!

Things will return to normal soon enough; I wouldn't sweat it, if I were you.

We will try to be more business-like tomorrow. For today, we are just a bunch of old guys and gals who are easily entertained.

And, there is a lot of bonding going on. Changing forums sort of shakes us up a little. And, talking serious business talk all the time can get a little grim.

            Reckon its gonna rain?

Pretty sure it will pass and like has been mentioned, this thread doesn't help this issue you're having with the forum.

Yeah...I have been guilty of it just like everyone else...but it will die down soon. You know how happy I am not to be in snitz anymore? I looked and over 600 members were logged in at once let alone the guest count...

On the old snitz forum I would be seeing Microsoft SQL errors on the forum timing out hehe...like I said PHP rulez...ASP sucks... lol

So I am pretty happy I don't have to see that now!

We are all proud of the WF, this is a short term trend, more so because of all the new features we never had before.

The dust will settle and the air will clear, people are just excited, and I share that excitement.

Not only can you now create blogs, and social groups, but there are so many new features that people are bound to be talking about it for some time.

Eventually, the forum will settle down, it is all good.

I agree with you totally Karl, Jenn and Tim!

And the atmosphere is like that of a re-launch...

But what I mean to say is that some warriors are spending too much time on it, and that is where it becomes unhealthy.

As I say, a little bit of it is constructive and exciting.
