REMINDER: Don't Quote The Spammer

Ladies and Gents,

Everyday, we are seeing posts in the forum, deliberately put up to spam the threads.

Sometimes the posts look half-legit, so people hit quote to say, "Huh?"

Don't do that!!

Especially don't do that if you see the following style code in the spam post and you do not see an image in the original post:

PHP Code:
[IMG]http://domain.com/jibberish.jpg[/IMG]
The people inserting images that you cannot see in the original post are cookie-stuffing, and when you quote them, you give them extra life for their cookies in the threads.

These image links that no one can see are actually redirects that force cookies into the thread and onto anyone's machine who reads the thread.

Don't quote them!! Because when you do, you are giving them the chance to swipe another affiliate commission that they have not earned.

The best way to defeat these jokers is to create a situation where they bust their asses and do not profit from the effort.

As soon as you realize they have spammed the forum, especially when they are using the invisible images, hit the Report button that looks like this and tell the mods it is an "image spammer".

The forum mods are employing a one-strike and you are banned approach with the cookie-stuffing idiots who are polluting this forum.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
