Where Do Some Ideas Come From?

Do you agree that when we have a need, ideas are created. Our entire thinking and deciding process changes. A person who is experiencing a need, a craving, a desire, a fear will become a different person.

So when were under this need influence, we become single minded in satisfying it. So it's a good idea to think about what it is you need to get the emails opened, emails clicked, get the work done quicker. There you may find the answer to what other marketers need also.

My most interesting ideas come from brainstorming ways to be lazy. Not always the best ideas for sure, but definitely interesting.

No, that's not how it works for me.

I have to wait for mine.

Great ideas have to sound stupid.

For example... "I CAN FLY!" - Wright Brothers
For example... "LETS GOTO THE MOON!" - Russia, US, China
For example... "LETS MAKE COMMUNICATION AROUND THE WORLD HAPPEN INSTANTANEOUSLY!" - AT&T
For example... "LETS MAKE A WEBSITE THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD!" - Google

Ideas also come from observing what works for others and making your own twists.

LOL, thanks for being honest Tiff! I'm just sayin'. lol.

I think mine come best out of the blue when I'm not thinking about something, and then it hits me (sorta like House when he solves his cases, for those of you that watch the show. lol). I've managed to think of my producer name out of nowhere, and two of my sites as well.

I suppose some things can be jogged into thought when you're going through something frightening, though I may not be so apt to think of things to make into a business as much as I am in trying to get through the frightening time. That's just me though.

Where I live right now I don't have a shower so I have to take baths.

Seeing your post I've come to the realization that I used to get better ideas in the shower than I do taking baths.

Something about the constant stream of water, maybe. I don't know!

Great ideas can come from anywhere, even when you are _______ (fill in the blank).

A great way to put your idea on the fast track is to use your dream energy.

Ideas are worthless unless you take action. This is where speed of implementation comes in.

    Food for thought.

Actually with me, it's when I need something and there's nothing there that will do. I'll just come up with something.

Mine don't come from a need they come from a seed. I think about what I need and want for a while and then let it go. I call that a seed. Before long the answer comes to me. That's how I do a lot of things.

When I write, I just think a bit about the desired outcome and let it go. Then within a day or two the hook or theme just shows up and I sit down to write. I don't think about it, it just comes. Yesterday I was thinking about a domain name for a new project. I wrote out a lot of possibilities and mixed and matched words but nothing was working.

Finally I just told myself the right name would come along when it was ready. Then I went for a walk and a couple of hours later the perfect name, one describing the venture to a T, popped into my head. And it's something people will EASILY remember. And... it's available. Nice, huh?

It's always great when that domain you're sure wouldn't come close to being available,(that fits your venture best), actually is available, isn't it? It's like the easiest thoughts sometimes are the ones people don't really think of.

I agree, the bigger the need the bigger the desire to satisfy that need. In simple terms it's like a leaking washing machine in your kitchen. If you detect an occasional drip you might put a recepticle under, to contain the leak. However, if you wake up one morning and find the kitchen flooded!!!

Last night I was watching a film and I had an idea.

I spent the next 5 minutes writing about 20 sentences that popped into my head.

Great thing is - I can go back to it in a few weeks to research an article.

In the book 'Borrowing Brilliance', the author says that creativity starts by copying. There really is nothing new under the sun. Good ideas are about bringing together existing ideas and combining them into something new.

Ideas come to me from problems/issues my clients are experiencing. As we work through a solution I am mindful of how we are solving the issue. Sometimes I make this into a blog post. Other times I make it into an exercise that I share only with other clients.

Very often I come up with great ideas when I'm walking my dog. She's my money maker!

    Good thoughts, makes sense.

As long as its done in an ethical way, then in a way by exploring a specific prospect's need, craving, desire, or fear then we can better relate and help them with a solution!

I've found the best way to come up with ideas is to try to think and step back from your daily business routine.
