'*' For Dating Products - Sales Page or Landing Page First?

Hey guys,

For those who are in the dating niche, I would highly appreciate your opinion.

Do most of you point your main URL to the landing page first (in the form of a blog page), or just send your viewers straight to the sales page?

I know that a landing page may reduce bounce rate + build value.

But have any of you guys seen higher conversions using such pathway pages to present your "product" on the sidebar, which then leads to the sales page?

Thanks in advance to all thoughts & insights.

It depends on how you're getting your traffic. If you're doing SEO I would suggest a blog layout with a FREE offer to get them on your list.

I haven't had much success with straight up sales pages in this niche. While people do want a quick solution, they often want to see some credibility from you first. If you have a killer autoresponder you can do some serious damage in this niche!

Thank you for your response Chad. I've been testing for a while and it seems like getting viewers into your list, and pre-selling would be more ideal for this niche.

      Cheers.

I send people straight to the squeeze page to get them on the list so that I can build a relationship with them and prep them for the sale.

My blog also sends people to my squeeze page.

I don't send anyone directly to a sale because I build a list and then work on offering value to the list.

Technically speaking a landing page is any page to which you send your users after they click on the action link.

If you're asking squeeze page vs. sales page => squeeze page if you want to make any real money.

Yep. A squeeze page does help indeed. I always make sure to insert an opt-in form in any main mother site.

    Hi there,

In nearly any niche where we are speaking to a 'frustration, fear, or desire' we've got to be sure to provide high quality information right away to reassure that feeling.

I'd suggest having the prospects go to a squeeze page with email opt-in (you will have a WAY higher conversion rate). Provide them with a quick report, video or audio course to help them with a specific issue for free. ie: "The 5 BIGGEST Mistakes Your Making..." type of thing.

    Relationships are everything.

    Hope that helps!

I think sales page because it too will have content and believe its not the complete content on a site/page that attract users to make a positive move buy going for that but its the few main sentences and words that forces them to buy that product. Just make sure to design it effectively!
