I don't know about Internet marketing, but the Robert Cialdini books are the best marketing books I've read, closely followed by Jay Conrad Levinson's Guerrilla Marketing.

      Scientific Advertising by Claude Hopkins.

Sure, it was written back in 1923, but the principles
are timeless and very applicable to the Internet.

I finished reading this a few weeks ago along with My Life in Advertising, very good books.

      Richard Cialdini? Or Robert Cialdini?

I definitely agree with you....It's the kind of book that has something for everyone based on their experience level. It also goes over a lot of key steps which many of the other books gloss over...Very newbie friendly!

    Internet marketing?

Probably either "Make My Site Sell" by Ken Evoy or "Revenge of the Mini Net" by Michael Campbell.

Both came out a long time ago and at a point in my online career when they were very helpful.

Ewen Chia's "How I made my first million on the internet".

Plus, a lot of personal experiences online taught me a lot about this business.

Like a couple of others on here, I would go for Make Your Site Sell by Ken Evoy.

In it he tells us about the huge opportunities that the internet has opened up. I really enjoyed it.

A good step-by-step guide on IM is Affilloblueprint by Mark Ling - really helped me to get started after all the other crap products that made me go backwards.

The basic principles of Internet Marketing are not so different from those of Marketing in general. People today are still persuaded by the same basic principles of persuasion.

To learn marketing/copywriting, I highly suggest you read the Gary Halbert letter (free), and stick to the old classics. All the new modern books are re-hashed watered down versions of the classic works of the past.

Maybe not many of You remember but for me Corey Rudl's course was the best start. After I've gone through it I knew what I wanted to do.

Robert Cialdini's books are also pure gold, and I also really enjoyed reading the Seobook.
