CTR Theme Site Sold on Flippa

Just got an email from Flippa and noticed from the top sales that one was the CTR theme site!!

https://flippa.com/2698789-ctr-theme...rm=CTRThemecom

So what could this mean for us all, some nice little updates or will it just stay the same.

My guess would be there will. E some additions to the theme and added usability but this will probably be released as an paid update but included for new members?? Just guess work here but as a lot of people use it for Adsense sites thought it may be of interest.

Btw I am not in anyway affiliated with this product (either the new or old owner) before anyone thinks this :p

This is a little off topic here so I apologize...

But I think that considering the income the seller listed, he was a great fool to sell the site -- even if it was for $70,000.00.

I think it is too risky selling sites at Flippa for a new comer. Any suggestions.

Hey GMD, yeah I did notice that but think maybe the seller just wanted out. He said he stopped promoting it on here due to all the support questions so my guess is that he has moved on to other things and wanted to cash out or maybe just wanted a big cash injection.

I agree though, am confused at why it didn't go for a little more but guess you would need to be a bit of a developer and have ideas to add new features and monetize the current subscribers but if this is done well the new owner will make their money back in no time!!

I guess the reason that I wrote what I wrote is because my personal philosophy is to build income in "pieces". That means, for me, I prefer to make a lot of money doing different things rather than put all my eggs into one basket.

As an example, too many people tried to make millions with Adsense (or some other method). Rather than try to strike it big in one niche, why not try to strike it small with many niches?

What I've done is build up income in various niches -- alone it wouldn't amount to much; together, all this income is something that leaves my family and I quite comfortable.

So when I read about this Flippa seller who pretty much gets some nice income with this nice website -- then sells that guaranteed income for only $70,000 it left me personally baffled.

Were I in his shoes specifically, I'd be saying to myself:

"Okay, that's $20,000 per month from this website, x amount of dollars from writing, x amount of dollars from CPA, x amount from Amazon, x amount from selling my own products, x amount of dollars from offering this service, etc. Together that equals this amount per month."

If the Flippa seller's income from the site hold true, he basically sold that site for only 4 or 5 times it's peak monthly earnings. Were I him, no amount of "I'm sick of it" would make me sell that site because it's earning.

      But that's just me!

I used the same strategy as CTR theme does on many of my websites.
Recent google update takes into consideration the amount of adverts "above the fold",
so is affecting my adsense earnings.

Maybe the owner saw this and thought it was time to cash in on the theme before it stopped working as well. But as they say there is opportunity in changing markets so maybe the buyer thought it was a good investment to make changes based on recent layout algo changes and sell the upgrades.

Guess we will find out soon...

Yeah agree, it is not good to put all your eggs in one basket, spread the earnings and then when one gets hit (which they inevitably do at some point) it doesn't hurt the bottom line too much.

Will be interesting to see what the new owners do with it, and whether the selling price on Flippa will inspire a few more copycats.

    Hi All,
I'm a newbie to IM..just bought a site on Flippa and am having problems already..
    The vendor suggested:
    * Domain register on a well known site..I did.
    * Host with a large well known site..I did..and then the host site emailed me to call them or send them I.D. via scan/email..I thought this strange..
The Host site also won't accept my user name or password ..which they sent me.
The vendor of the site I bought, now wants to access my domain and Host sites to fix all this up...It has become way more complicated than I envisioned..
Is this normal?..should I trust him with access?..
He says the site I bought has to have a server which points it to the Host site..I try to explain I'm new, a virgin in a strange land..what do I know?..zilch..so I'm now starting to lose faith, my wife is shaking her head...the s word is bubbling to the surface..and I think I'm going to lose my money..the vendor admitted that transferring the site is difficult..great, just what I didn't need...I want to trust him..but..I don't know him or this business from a bar of soap.
Am I being paranoid?..is this typical of the process...The Host site chat person couldn't shed any light on why I couldn't login..in fact the homepage doesn't have a login field.
I did manage to register with their forum and I'm waiting for the moderator to confirm me...Have sent the Host support team an email of my woes..
    Any advice much appreciated.

its all ok, I recommend trust him.
and keep you faith intact,... its not easy to make money on net, and mainly it takes patience and learning.

you have to stick to it and learn on your way.

My friend sold his eBay business at the top of the market for $$$$. Now whoever he sold the business to has loads of competitors and they're all trying earn a living selling stuff like iPod covers for $1.99 plus free postage.

Smart business people know when to start a business and when to bail.
