Double Your Offline Cash Cow Profits with an Offline Pre-Launch Phase!

Yes another damn cash cow thread lol!

Everyday I'm learning more and more about this offline CC business system and I'm getting closer and closer to sending out the mail outs.

I could be completely wrong here; but I believe I know
1. A way to increase the amount people would be willing to pay for your services.
2. Increase the conversion rate of prospects turned into clients.

The way to do this is have a mini-launch of your own. I was inspired by Michael Silvester's idea.

I haven't tested this before or thought about it too long, but here's the general idea:

Day 1: send out a novelty/funny item (under $5 each) to the business with a really short message like "online domination is coming..." or whatever. Something to get them thinking "what the hell is going on lol?!" and maybe tell their friends and staff about.

Day 2: send another novelty item (maybe a funny card?) with another message such as "are you ready to split your advertising costs in half and increase your revenue?..."

Day 3: Send a package with "IT'S HERE... " - WARNING: MAY CAUSE SURGE OF MONEY INTO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. Inside the package have the original letter David Preston suggests inside. Obviously you can modify it a bit to be more congruent with your launch phase.

Here's the theory behind it - I totally made up these figures so I'm only using them as a very general guide.

Expenses for launching this way:
$15 per prospect x 100 prospects

= $1500

Conversion rate:
Conversion rate with hype: 6%
Conversion rate without hype: 4%

Revenue at $1500/sale.

With hype: $9000
Without hype: $6000

Amount people willing to pay with hype: $2000
Amount people willing to pay without hype $1500

Total amount expect to earn with 1. high conversion; 2. high price people willing to pay due to some level of rapport you've build with them.

With hype: $12,000
Without hype: $6000
I'd love to know everyone's thoughts on this and how to make it better.

cheers

    What happened to your sig...

    "If you want MASSIVE Results,
    Take MASSIVE Action!"

Stop learning and start doing. You'd be making money already if you had. You can learn things as they come up, no need to know everything before you get started

    As for your idea...

The concept of sequences etc is fine, but the way you've laid out the execution is all wrong.

And your numbers are WAY off.

Just send the damn letters and get started.

haha thanks for reminding me Kyle, but this is just 1 final thing I want to get right before I begin. According to my imaginary numbers, it could be the difference between making $6000 and $12,000 for the same job.

I've already got 1 very interested prospect who I'm 90% sure will confirm a $2000 deal, so I have been taking a little action so far!

Tomorrow I'm ramping it up to MASSIVE action of course!!

Don't worry Alex....some people on this forum ASSUME you always are learning and NEVER taking action. In fact....I would say that having a thorough well thought out plan is better than just BLINDLY JUST TALKING TO BUSINESS OWNERS.

HOWEVER.....this is assuming that you are already confident talking to business owners...and are a little mature with the art of presenting, networking ect...AND ARE NOT DESPERATE FOR MONEY QUICK ! Usually, your higher end professionals don't have this approach. But it seems by your post....you are a beginner so I would say...just talk to business owners !

So...yes..get off your duff (is some words of wisdom) but don't ignore a carefully thought out strategy. AGAIN....EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT...and a choose a path according to where you are currently at....with your skill level and confidence and your current bank account. All these are factors...that I think should tweak your approach.

P.S. I would vouch to say...the majority of people WHO POUND the forum (in general) about offline consulting threads...are probably not making money offline. If they were...they would be too busy servicing acccounts rather than posting on this forum. Just my opinion...and again...this doesn't apply to everyone...but you get the concept !

      Blessings brother !

      Wishing you much success,

    Hi Alex,

I like the enthusiasm, though I agree 100% with Kyle that just going out and taking action makes all the difference in the world.

Not until I was "forced" to succeed did I actually get off my backend and boom the next thing I know I am going from being unemployed with no prospects for a job to a business owner closing in on 40clients.

Starting everything with zero dollars just a desire to make the businesses I am working with succeed which in turn would allow me to succeed.

    Yes you are completely wrong.

The only way you're ever going to learn anything is by taking action.

    That's how it works.

You can sit around "learning more and more about" selling your services to offline businesses but there is really only one way you're going to understand what it's really all about.

That's by talking to real, live business owners.

You can get in touch with them by email, mail, doing talks, etc etc etc.

But you're just stumbling in the dark until you've talked to a decent number of business owners and learned how they react to the things you say and how to refine your approach, the things you say, how to find out what they want, how to suggest ideas and strategies to the point where they get excited about what you have to offer.

The people who are making money with this business model are NOT those who are learning about it.

It's the people who are DOING it.

I can make it really really simple for anyone who has some internet marketing skill but hasn't had a paying client yet...GO TALK TO SOME BUSINESS OWNERS.

That's the starting point where you gain real world experience.

    Kindest regards,
    Andrew Cavanagh

Case in point: I get all my consulting clients using the same referral system I teach my CT students. But we had a plumbing problem over the weekend and as soon as I mentioned what I do it was on!

We chatted for about 30 minutes -- mostly driven by his own interest and questioning -- and not only is there a job opportunity there but he's put me in touch with a business associate of his, a well-known author & speaker.

Who knows what will come out of it, possibly nothing or possibly a 6-figure partnership... but it all came from a quick chat with a business owner. And I wasn't trying to sell him anything -- I was just answering his questions about PPC and SEO and offering my advice.

I agree with all above. Analyzing something you have yet to do will give you unrealistic results. It is impossible to work out how much you will get from a direct mailing campaign in this business if you are just stepping into this business, so its pointless analyzing it.

Too much analysis ends in paralysis!

You will end up sending all letters out with little results and then think this business is too hard or not for you. All because you analyzed way too much and expected a certain figure!

Just take action now, pick the phone up, walk into a business, but tomorrow never comes. And high expectations from analyzing will leave you feeling defeated before you have even got your foot in the door!

    Why wait, just do it!

The advice you have gained above this post should be enough! This business is not as easy as made out and sending out a direct mailing of a few hundred letters or gifts will not get you rich. You need to be taking constant action.

Thats my 2 cents, 2 much analysis, way too much analysis!

    Now Go Get 'Em

Alex, don't take this the wrong way, but...

When you pull numbers out of your ass, all you get is stinky fingers.

On top of that, there are going to be people who read your subject line and think this is a proven strategy, not an untested idea you pulled out of thin air.

I think using some type of pre-launch promotion could work if you planned to do seminars or workshops, but at this point it's still just a theory I haven't had time to flesh out or test yet.

Keep in mind that the first thing any letter, email, phone call, drop-in, whatever needs to do is simply generate a conversation. That's it. Just get the party started.

Keep the enthusiasm, though. That'll cover a whole bunch of stumbles as you pick up your battle scars...

        haha I like that one!

Thanks for all the tips guys, I realize I have indeed been focusing on perfecting my system rather than taking massive action instead, so now it's time to fix that!

Today I'm going to make a list of prospects and send out letters. Hopefully I'll be getting a few interested phone calls in the next few days.

How's it going, Alex? Are you so busy with all of the work you've gotten from taking action that you're enjoying a new lifestyle? I hope so!
