Hi all,

I am having a dilemma, I was with a publishing company Epic direct for a couple of months, making a bit of being payed every month then back in October 2011 they just didn't pay me. It was a quiet month I only earned like $64 or something. When I emailed them asking what happened they informed me that their london office was closing bla bla bla...

Anyway after about 40 emails they have admitted that they do owe me this payment. Something about currency being in euro not dollars

Now they have said they are looking into it and can't release the payment, they won't even give me an idea of when it will be released! I also made a subsequent $20 which I did not receive.

Now I do realize that its not a huge sum of money, but I did nothing wrong they should pay me? Has anyone else had an experience like this? If you have then what do I do??

It is more the principle than anything at this stage.
Anyone got any ideas or suggestions! THANK YOU in advance.

  • ...so you've spent all this time to write 40 emails to try to recover $64?
Your principles are causing you to waste your time which you could spend to make way more than $64.

    • To be fair, it's not about how much money it is, it's the fact that this company have taken money from someone that is rightfully there's.

  • I agree, in most cases it's better in the long run to write it off and just forget about it. But it's always hard to walk away from being out right ripped off.

Try getting in touch with ripoffreport, it's not time consuming but can be very effective.
  • Mate, I don't know if you're southern or northern Ireland but it should be about the same process.

Go online to the court service, fill in the small claims claim form, pay the fee and submit. They will find in your favor and the other side will have to pay your costs. Doesn't take too long.

But as the other posters have said, think about whether you want to take the time as you could have earned that back by the time it's all resolved!

    Best of luck though
