Approaching Someone In My Niche To Work With

Hey Warriors, I am just looking around for websites realted to my niche and I have found one that I would like to work with. I'm just not quite sure the best way to approch this situation.

Do I use the contact form on their site?

And what do I ask them?

For refrence my site is in my sig file, 'Chinese Recipe Book' and their site is Chineserecipesforall, i'm sure you can see why I want to work with them. But I just want to make sure that I approach it properly so that I can get what I want out of the situation and hopefully offer them some value aswell.

If any of you have any ideas as to how to go about this please share!

Thanks in advance!
Freddie

Keep in mind cultural differences too. What may work with Americans may fail with Mainland Chinese.

Start a general conversation about their website first.

Be slow to mention your own stuff.

Build a relationship first, and soon you will know when the best time to ask would be.

There is full disclosure on the whois records and I would start there. I wouldn't call them (his number is noted) until you have agreed to talk, but his personal email address is there, and an address to follow up your proposal in writing.

He only lives 32 miles away from you

Hey Dave, thanks, I can't see his email on there though? Am I just being stupid? Probably - Could you help me?

Don't want to publicly post it so I'll PM it to you.

I personally always go through the route of being friendly and showing interest in what he's doing. You have similar sites I presume, so compliment him and show interest in something he's doing. Ask him what he has lined up for the future.

You don't have to rush into "Wanna work together?", mention you have a site that you're growing and would love to have a chat to see what he has going on. Be friendly and people will be happy to chat.

He's just some guy. You'll be fine
