Does anyone have an affiliate program set up on a website they also have DLGuard set up on? If so, what is it?

Thanks for your help!

Not horribly priced but I'd love it if something was cheaper. :p Thank you!!! I'm too much of a DLGuard snob to consider giving it up. Plus the support is outstanding. I just didn't realize it would be a little challenging to get hooked up with an affiliate system to work with it.

Still open for suggestions below the $100 mark....

        These conversations always surprise me.

I know that DLGuard is a great product with a great vendor who offers brilliant customer service, and am not in any way criticising the product, but to me, the value of protecting the download page without taking any steps at all to protect the product itself seems to be very limited indeed.

It strikes me that this type of product can do nothing to prevent a serial refunder from buying something in PDF form, uploading it to every black hat and torrent site in the world, and then maybe even asking for a refund.

We all know that that happens regularly.

I find it difficult to understand why more people don't use things like e-Junkie's PDF stamping option, which prints the buyer's transaction details on every page of the PDF before releasing the product, with every purchase. There are other products available that do the same thing, too. This must surely inhibit most people from uploading to those sites, with their PayPal information, verified identity, and so on, all over it? (I dare say that a few people have the technical skills/facilities to circumvent even that, but it must help in many instances, surely?).

I often wonder about this and don't quite understand it: what am I missing, here?

I don't have DLGuard to protect my download pages. That's a side effect. I have DLGuard because its product management system is highly configurable and flexible without being a right pain in the arse to manipulate.

    Hi Robyn,

It looks like you can actually get the Standard version of iDev for $99.99:

iDevAffiliate - Affiliate Tracking Software - Affiliate Program Software

Might be worth a shot? There's a lot of people using iDev with DLGuard, and they work well together.

    cheers

    Hi Chris,

That's right, you do get a years worth of private support when you buy DLGuard, but after that you can still get free support via the DLGuard forum. I personally answer all the questions in the DLGuard forum, and so it's very active.

Regarding old downloads - the biggest problem here was I had a wave of people coming to me saying "I don't want to renew my support, but I want you to reissue an old version of software to me." This meant I had to look up their details, find when their upgrades expired, work out which version that had access to at that point, and then email the correct version to them.

That all takes time, which costs me money (as business owners we all understand this), and then when you multiple that by a number of people, it can become expensive.

To make this easier for everyone, I'll be adding a feature to the members area that'll automatically make correct versions of downloads available to people, even after your upgrades/support have expired.

I hope this helps explain it!

    cheers

Thanks Sam! I know not everyone's a fan but I for one am. You helped me out of a mess a couple of weeks ago and I am so grateful. I may have to go with iDev at some point.

@Chris Kent: How big is your PLR store? I would think ejunkie would get expensive awfully quick. I have plans to grow mine rather large so I'm not sure how cost effective it would be.
