Need ideas...our survey says our prospects have no money..

Hey all,

If a prospect is on our list for 90-days and doesn't buy a product we send them a survey asking why they haven't bought yet.

The number 1 response to this survey so far is that they don't have the money to purchase the product or that the prices are too high. This has come as a surprise to me considering our starting price point for our front-end product is only $9.95.

This is telling me that we have the wrong prospects on the list to start with. Any ideas on how I can get better prospects on our list? How can you measure if a prospect has the ability to purchase/afford your products.

Thanks

Brandon

I'm not sure that you can measure a person's ability to buy. In this economy, there's more and more people every day that can't - even people who were quite easy about the wallet before recent economic crapola. As far as finding prospects with more money - you might just have to do more demographic research to find where to put ads that more lucrative prospects will see.

      Hey there,

What's the best way you suggest to do demographic research?

      Thanks

Is there anything you could get your prospects to do for you in return for getting the product for a lower cost, or free?

Perhaps they could somehow share the word with others in return for a discount?

If your prospects aren't willing to spend, but they are willing to work, you may find they are even more valuable than you thought!

Ok, the thing is there are literally hundreds or may be thousands who wanna earn big or venture into Internet marketing and are willing to spend hundreds of hours but when you ask them to buy a WSO or recommend to a good product, all they say is I cant afford it, please share..

I really dont understand if U cant spend $10, how can U expect to be earning in Hundreds. Besides, they cant even buy a baby hosting package from hostgator..

    Its sad but true!!

    They're almost certainly lying.

Surveys like this are generally a waste of time IMO. Your subscribers either think your products are crap or, more likely if they've stayed on your list, you just haven't done enough yet to convince them to purchase.

Take a look at TrialPay.com or other sites that will pay you if one of your customers completes something.

I added it to my custom shirt sites and have picked up a couple of extra sales through it, but not a whole lot.

Your customer may still say they don't have the money, but if they do they might find value in the TrialPay offers.

    It's probably worth a test.
