Best Place To Begin Selling Product?

Hey guys

So I created my own product which is an ebook, and I wasn't planning on using any affiliates (yet). I know of ClickBank and have heard of RapBank... also I know a little about going through Kindle or Amazon (et cetera) - but I don't know much. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion as to where would be the best place to promote/sell my product through?

This is my first product/campaign and I was hoping to find someplace free I could do this through.

Any suggestions would be great - thanks in advance!

It depends on the niche or market that you are targeting.

    What is your ebook about?

I'd go with Clickbank for 1 reason. With most other affiliate programs, you have to find affiliates. Even in the "not so small" ones. Clickbank, however, has tons of affiliates and if your product sells, it's show via gravity (their word for... how often it sells, kind of), and it only increases from there. Gravity increases, affiliates increase, etc. Very intuitive and "hands-off" as well if you integrate a digital delivery service such as e-Junkie (which is what I do).

Just going on from what resellcells suggested: Clickbank is a great place to start, but just make sure that you start marketing elsewhere to get the ball rolling. There are a lot of products on Clickbank that don't earn any money whatsoever.

I don't know what topic your ebook is focused on but there are usually forums related to most niches, so you could certainly join a few, build a reputation and directly or indirectly introduce them to your product

You won't find many 'free' places that are worthwhile. As others have said good places to start are Clickbank, RapBank, even listing it as a WSo in this forum if the subject matter suits. You said that you're not looking for affiliates right away though so you don't really need to use any of those platforms. You could just sell it using Paypal.

It really depends on what your book is about.

    What niche are you in?

You can try posting on related forums and getting some sales that way.

Blogging about your topic while having something to sell is a great way too.

However, most people prefer to put their products on Clickbank to gain exposure.

No need to reinvent the wheel

    Good luck

I think for a straight E-book, post it on Amazon. Then drive traffic to that Amazon product. I say this because if Amazon recognizes your product to be profitable, they will begin investing some of their advertising to promoting it, as well. This would take some work and good numbers, but if you have a quality product, then this strategy might be feasible just one idea.

Traffic is more important than your payment processor, you can bank huge using a simple paypal button on your site.

There is a place you should consider to sell your product. It is JVzoo.com. They offer a lot off features and you can also list your products in their daily growing market place. I use them to run my wsos. They track your sales, clicks, conversation, affiliate sales (you don't have to use affiliates if you don't want) and money go directly into your paypal account.

You could even start up a free squidoo website and sell it yourself from there. You would have to have a paypal account and tell people to pay you through there, then you would send them the ebook when they email you with ytheir receipt number. That is what one well established copywriter did to get established b4 she could afford a website.

If your product can be sold at the WSO forum, you should definitely try selling it as a WSO first.

You wont find a much better source of targeted buyer traffic!

      Good luck!

Hi Bre ... well, if you're not (yet) seeking affiliates, you certainly don't need to be paying ClickBank about 9% of your takings. :p

    Have you looked at e-Junkie?

It's a very good product delivery system which costs $5 per month (and you can get the first 2/3 months free, with a "coupon" or "discount-code" or something).

Its great attraction is that you can link it to your PayPal account, and before giving your customers the download, it will stamp the details of their purchasing transaction on each page of the PDF, to discourage people from uploading it to every black hat and torrent site on the web. Built-in product security, for no extra cost, in other words.

e-Junkie is only a product delivery method. They don't handle the money. You do that through your own PayPal account (or whatever other means you have available).

    Good luck!

I'm toying with changing 'em over to Kindle simply to find out if more eyeballs really will equal more money.

I know what I earned last year and the year before from one eBook. The keyword ranks between 2-4 on Google for the main keyword and now I'm going to simply redirect the site to Amazon and see what the future holds for it.

I would suggest looking into clickbank and rapbank both of which are good for building a team of affiliiates.
Here on the WF you could try selling your ebook if it is in the IM niche.
Also I am not sure what price range you are looking to sell it for but perhaps look into promoting it on Fiverr.
You could also look in the JV section of the forum and see if anyone has a list that would be targeted to your product.
    Hope this helps.
