I feel like all this relates to a class I took, Economics. Its truly all about the demand and supply curves, along with types of markets. I also could related this stuff to price vs quantity. Overall, I just wanted to share the fact that IMing is the basics of Economics, Anyone agree ?

That's backwards. Economics is the basis of IM. What you said is like saying "there's gravity because we don't fall off the Earth."

Remember this moment. It is very important. Internet Marketing is not about get rich quick schemes. To be successfull you have to offer value or services to people. There is plenty of demand out there but their is also a lot of suppliers. That means strict competition for you so you must be sure to provide quality. Always remember that is the basis for earning money. Not downloading CHECK OUT MY SOFTWARE THAT EARNED ME $34858.99 a day.

The endorphin rush of buying and downloading garbage like that does, however, have value.

You have to understand that the people who buy that stuff and give it great reviews aren't a bunch of liars.

They're simply not buying what you think they are: they're buying the experience of thinking maybe they are about to earn thousands of dollars a day, just like the people buying lottery tickets are buying maybe they'll win the Powerball this week, just like the zombies at the slot machines in Vegas are buying maybe they will hit the jackpot this time.

And that's worth it to them. They like the rush of "is this it?!" every time they spend $7 on a WSO.

Which, from a pure economic perspective, is a perfectly valid market which is being quite honestly and ethically served by overhyped crap that doesn't work. They aren't paying for the product. They're paying for the sense of hope they got from all the hype.

You will always find it easier to market and promote a product you believe in - which means value. Also, it means you understand the value and have insight into the market it appeals to and the issues that it solves. This is the basic substance and after this the style comes along. Function is always gonna come before form if you are to be long term successful. It provides the backbone on which everything else is built. Marketing things with no value or that you don't believe in is rather like trying to make a jellyfish stand up.

I guess this is a bit of a tangent but I think Kevin Spacey said it best at the end of the movie Margin Call.

"And you damn well know that you don't make a sale unless you think the guy is gonna come back for more"

Don't just throw your name up next to any product. Make sure it's of high quality. That way when you make that sale the person knows they can trust you in the future and wants the next item you are promoting as well.

I would definitely agree. I am glad that someone finally stated it so plainly.

Maybe IM should be the "alternative economics" as much of it is off the radar...

Economics and IM are the same. Supply and Demand. People want what is rare - the secrets to making money online so the demand for these types of products is HUGE!

Economics is the basis of society, as humans we have unlimited needs but only limited resources to satisfy them.

And yes, you can say that the basic economic principles apply to any business, including IM. If you can provide enough value in the eyes of a potential costumer, you get sales.
