The Power of Video Marketing - READ THIS!

Hey Warriors,

I want to start a discussion on video marketing. For the last few month I have been focusing on video marketing (which has costs me nothing) and Google PPC to market one of my companies. And what I am seeing are more new customers coming from the free video marketing than I am Google.

So let's build a thread that other warriors can use to help them build a ton of traffic to their products/offer through video marketing. If anyone has questions or experience or some cool ideas or software they have used post it here. This could be a really powerful thread.

I'm not surprised that your video traffic is more than Google Adwords traffic. The same is true in my business, but i use a wide variety of free traffic methods.

Some simple tips for getting traffic back to your website from your videos are:

    1) List your website address at the bottom of your video
    2) List your website address FIRST in the description of your videos. It'll turn it into a clickable link
    3) Use video responses to drive people to your videos
    4) Start your own Youtube channel
    5) Make alot of friends and strive to get more subscribers.

I love video marketing. I have a couple of videos that earns me about $200 to 300 a month. Not bad! I haven't had a chance to create and upload more vids. I meanly boost other peoples videos by backlinking and adding views/comments/likes.

I have been thinking about this a LOT lately. My niche doesn't really seem to support it which is all the reason more to tap into it, right? Not many doing it. But they're so easy. They're fun. And, wow, do they rank well.

Any reason not do it? I can't think of any.....

And trick is you can make 100s of videos from animoto for just $5 per month. How cool is that. In order to make the most of these videos distribute them to all the ideo hosting sites out there using trafficgeyser.com

While it may help to spread your videos all around, I've found almost all the traffic will still come from YouTube. Just my own experience.

I find Traffic Geyser excellent for boosting your SEO of your YouTube video.
And of course, on-page SEO and purchased views/likes being the most important.

I've found this as well. I don't bother with any other video sites anymore. I've also been adding more and more video to Facebook fan pages as well instead of just articles.

Animoto videos just don't cut it. They all look the same. They have very low view count and nobody bothers to comment.

It is not about how "beautiful" a video looks, it is about how it connects with people and help them with their problems.

You want to make simple videos that are interactive and informative. "How to" tutorial videos all do very well.

Can you expand more on the backlinking strategies used to boost video rankings? That would be helpful.

I've done real well promoting a home business opportunity through Youtube videos. Last time I checked it ranked as the 2nd or 3rd result in a Google search for the keyword I am targeting.

I think the Featured Video is tied to the Google Adwords. I tried to get a Featured Video but it wouldn't let me because my Adwords account was banned years ago for promoting an **** berry offer.

Make sure the video is a converter. Animto videos have never cut it for me. The secret is to get a good converting video. For an offline client of mine I got some cheap animto videos ranked in the search engines for high competition keywords. People are watching them but you know not a single person has clicked through to my clients site.

The videos are good in one amazing way, they act as fantastic backlinks. Some of my clients videos are a higher page rank then my actual clients sites. The backlinks really can do wonders for your sites google ranking. Make sure to drive traffic to your videos to increase the views, that way they become interconnected with other high ranking videos passing google love between them.

So number 1 tip. make sure they are good high converting video such as ones with people in. Or just use them as back link machines. Where else can you get a permenant PR3 backlink for an investments of $20 - 30 if that

Yep, as someone else has mentioned, a call to action is most vital at the end of the video. Make sure the link is clickable (http://) and put it as the FIRST thing in the description box.

Videos did wonders for my first few IM campaigns.

    Hey everyone,
We have recently really gotten interested in video marketing and have had a brainstorm of lots of concepts we could use for various videos promoting our services.
We have recently released on that has helped to increase our website traffic by 700%. We created an in-house silent movie for our server disaster recovery service . It was inspired by all the hype around the movie "The Artist" although the video itself is more in the style of Charlie Chaplin films!
The movie we made was picked up in the Yorkshire Post and is hosted on our website via youtube. The feeling that we get is rather than creating very serious videos it is better to try and use humour to engage peoples' interest and promote the likely hood of it being shared.
One of the great aspects about the video that we made, was that it was completely in-house produced, meaning that we have the MD taking lead role with support acts from other staff members. It also meant that costs were kept very low and we were able to have some fun!

Please see what you think of it... feedback is always much appreciated
(can't post a link yet as this is the first time I have posted on here but if you type in to Google "PCM ltd server disaster recovery movie" it should come up!

Search Youtube for the keyword phrase of your video topic and click on the top video with the most views. Copy their exact tags into your videos tags. Then whenever someone views that top video, your video will appear next to it in the related videos area

Video marketing is fantastic. I had a video that made $500,000. Sound crazy? Here's what happened. We created videos for a company that makes MMA training products. The videos started gaining some traction, and one day there was a comment about one of the products. I responded to the comment. Then I got a message from the guy inside of YouTubes messaging system. He asked more about the product. Then he asked about European distributors. Then he called and set up a UK/Euro distributorship and bought $500,000 worth of product to sell!

These guys have seen an 1100% increase in sales, all coming from the internet since we started the video campaign.

I've recently read many posts saying how easy and effective video marketing is. Many bloggers are doing it already, some even have made their own video blog called Vlog. It's pretty interesting. We haven't done it in our sites yet but it's part of our plans this year.

When you mention video, there are a ton of amazing viral hits that come to mind. I always like mentioning the Old Spice commercials on the Old Spice YouTube channel because they're really awesome. A lot of people have seen it; a lot of people have talked about it in social media; a lot of people have shared it across the Internet via social media and blogs. That being said, if your video's really good, then I wouldn't be surprised that they're giving you more traffic than AdWords.

I find Video Marketing very, very helpful. Like others have said you can make videos foolproof by using Animoto and could easily pump out 20 videos a day. Each one of these bad boys will target their own unique Keyword and upload it to Youtube...

Do a little On-Off Page Optimization and your done. The video will either slowly gain traction and start feeding your site with leads/traffic or it will sit there and gather dust.

Either way it's relatively pain free and compared to other methods I think it's great and will be a big player for me going forward - Noel.

  • Video marketing is very very effective especially with the addition of YouTube on most smart phones now. A lot of people now are using Youtube as a search engine itself to search for reviews, answers, and the latest tips and tricks.

Launching a video when you are trying to rank as site can be a very fast way to get an excellent rank in Google and a good stream of targeted traffic.

Video Marketing is essential these days.

One thing to keep in mind, don't just make a couple of videos and sit around and wait for results. Make tons of videos!

Take your keyword phrases and re-shuffle them through your Titles and Descriptions. So for each video you produce, you may have 8-10 copies of that video with different Titles, and Descriptions, containing the same keyword phrases in different order.

Track your results, just like anything else. Certain videos, which you are sure will be a winner, will sit and languish. Meanwhile, others you just kind of threw out there will skyrocket in views. Tracking helps learn which set of variables seems to convert best, while also helping you identify which videos you may want to send more "link love".

The idea is to cast a "broad net" with your video marketing.

I'm no expert (obviously), but that has been my experience for best results
