What are your favourate plugins for wordpress? Do you have a handful of plugins that you use on all of your sites? Here are some that I use on All of my sites

SEOPressor - Paid plugin but its essential for onsite SEO
All in One SEO - A great SEO plugin makes adding meta tags, descriptions etc very easy.
SlimStat - I love this plugin it is very accurate at measuring your traffic, where it is coming from, and how long people are visiting etc. Similar to analytics but more options.
Pretty Link - Allows you to test your links to analyse where people are clicking and which link placements are more popular. Also cloaks your links to match your site.
SEO Friendly Images - Allows your images to be SEO friendly and helps your site to meet with Googles criteria.

I would love to hear about other plugins that you enjoy using on your sites.

I also use All in one SEO, it's great. I use Easy WP Seo which is a cheaper alternative to SEOPressor.

    Google sitemap generator

wp-insert is great for allowing you to place html code throughout your content. I find it very useful in allowing me to easily change banners and ads.

I've tried multiple other plugins but these are the ones I usually use on all of my sites as a base.

I don't think you can beat all-in-one seo or seo pressor.

Another personal favorite of mine is Broken Link Checker.

This is a time saver and stops the prospect of broken links affecting your search engine rankings.

I use a lot of the same ones as listed above. I'll describe the ones I haven't seen on the thread yet.

        -- Akismet
-- All in One SEO Pack
-- Disqus Comment System -- A social media comment system. A lot of people don't like this one because it can make your site lag. I haven't noticed a problem. It helped me eliminate spam comments that were getting through Akismet.
-- Exclude Pages From Navigation -- I use this on along with WP Insert to handle my Privacy Policy and TOS -- Both required by Google to utilize Adsense
-- Find Me Elsewhere -- Include links to social networks in your sidebar.
-- Formidable -- A powerful form creating system. Free or premium.
        -- Google XML Sitemaps
-- Smart YouTube -- Makes adding video a cinch
-- Smashing Analytics -- Another one that can cause lag -- Again, no problem that I've noticed -- Gives visitor info like Operating system, IP Address, Browser, referring pages, keywords searched, last pages visited, etc.
-- WhyDoWork Adsense -- After trying SEVERAL plugins, this was the only one I could make do what I wanted -- Insert Adsense in posts and pages.
        -- WP DB Backup
-- WP Filebase -- Download manager
-- WP Table Reloaded -- Create customized tables

I had someone ask me why this was on my site once, so I answered it in a post. Basically, analytics plugins built to run on WordPress are PHP based. Google Analytics is Java based. So, Google misses visitors who have Javascript disabled on their browser while the PHP stats catch them all. That's why there is a discrepancy in the numbers.

I use both a plugin and Analytics. My numbers have steadily risen in both methods, but Google shows about half the numbers as you said.

Lots of great plugins mentioned here (some I've gone to grab personally just from this post).

One I recently came across that I think is excellent is ezine-articles plugin (EzineArticles WordPress Plugin). It allows you to easily Submit your high-quality, original WordPress blog posts to the EzineArticles for more exposure, credibility and traffic back to your website. Neeto!

Some personal ones that I couldn't do without (and neither my clients either since I created 2 of them )

    1) WP-SEOAGENCY - manages all of my keyword tracking for all of my sites, and tracks per backlink grouping whether a link is indexed by google or not. Also has project management features. One of the main benefits is for one of my seo companies where my clients can log into wordpress and see their own page and have embedded charts and graphs for both their keyword rankings and backlinking efforts

    2) AutoMP3 Generation - This will automatically generate and embed an mp3 on my pages and posts to act as a podcast. I then submit those podcasts to podcast directories for linkjuice

    3) Google XML Sitemaps - self explanatory

    4) RSS Pages For Wordpress v3+ - Include the page content in the rss feed for the site. More indexable content to syndicate

    5) Easy WP-SEO - Onsite seo helper for setting up correct content
