How much spent at Fiverr?

Iv bought a total of 57 gigs

= $305 (with a $20 extra)

I will be honest, I have bought a lot of crap but I also have bought a lot of really good things... Im really happy with fiverr and I would say it was a good $305 investment.

What about you guys? How much have you spent on fiverr?

Note: Did you know over 1,000 members join fiverr every single day and off of every purchase fiverr gets $1. Damn their banking. lol

although against fiverr rules, have contacted a few of the better designers and programmers off the site and hired them that way. done this because it's much easier to accurately communicate specifics through skype or the phone, particularly for more complex jobs.

How do you contact them without breaking the terms of service? I try to be subtle about it, but I think I'm too subtle, because I've never successfully contacted any provider off of fiverr. (though I'd really like to.)

I found the best cover guy and I'm worried he'll vanish.

Only ordered like 5 gigs and they have all been related to graphic designs. I think Fiverr is a great place to get cheap graphics and most of the time they are pretty good quality for the price. At least I have been very happy with the graphics I've gotten.

I've used fiverr to find some good quality writers. I will buy an article from someone. if they are good i will buy another, if that one is good I will approach them and ask them if they would be willing to do further work for me away from fiverr. I will pay them more, and they will get more because they dont have to pay fiverr commission.

It's a risk to a certain degree for both parties, but it can pay off much better if you build trust with that person.

I'm not convinced anyone can make a decent income from fiverr (unless you live in a third world country) so don't expect anything exceptional from the work you pay for. I do believe you though that you can find some people who's work (writing skills in my experience) has gone unappreciated in the past, and that if you are willing to pay them a fair share, they will produce good quality work for you, but you've got to get them off/away from fiverr.

I've probably ordered over 100 gigs. There's been a few people who didn't come through but sometimes you find people who consistently do a really good job.

Overall, I've been very happy with Fiverr. I lost track of how many gigs I've bought there....it's been a lot! While there are some gigs that won't live up to your expectations, many of them will, and you should add these to your "starred" list, so you can always go back and find your favorite gigs easily to use again. I have a pretty extensive list. Once you find really good providers....and it IS a process of trial and error....keep using them. And when you're finding someone new to use for the first time, read their feedback, see how long they've been on Fiverr, look at some of their other gigs and the feedback on those gigs, read their gig description carefully, and THEN make a decision on whether or not to try them.

I have never tried Fiverr but have not had good experiences searching. But it kind of takes time to learn the searching algorithm for me....any suggestions on how to search for quality stuff instead of reading list after list of people offering everything under the sun??

Try the Best of Fiverr blog.

It's not that you haven't learned the search algo, it's that there are over 600,000 gigs on Fiverr. Too much of a muchness.

I search for fiverr gigs using google.

      example: wordpress banner +psd site:fiverr.com

funny, google seems to even know which fiverr gigs have the most authority.

A LOT! haha no sure how much but like most have said I have a few gigs that I just keep buying over and over again. With popularity, the quality of a few of the gigs has degraded exponentially.

Perhaps my favorite gigs I've seen are the movie voice over guys!

Last year I bought a customized promo video for myself and for a dozen of my downliners (of hundreds), the 12 who replied to my email about the offer of my buying them a promo video. BUT in the longrun, most of those downliners didn't do much anyway, not even with a supportive sponsor who gives them paid promo videos. Where can I find at least 12 people who have daily motivation for the longterm?

I also spent a $5 for a banner. So in all, about $70 in the last 6 months, $65 of that was to one seller.

I've purchased 39 so far. Mostly eitehr design or link building. Overall been very happy with it.

I've done over 1000 gigs now on the site, mostly writing. Also I've got several people that found me on fiverr who I write for directly now which is nice.

Not sure if self promotion is ok, but here's my top gig:
write high quality articles up to 400 words for $5 - seatbelt99
100% positive feedback from over 200 orders on this specific gig.

I've never really counted how many gigs I've bought, or the money I spent there -- and I don't really want to count the few hundred. I figure every other fiverr gig is worth 4x the price, so the other one can be worthless.

And the worthless ones are actually priceless too, because every single losing deal has a lesson in it, if you can just be bothered to pay attention and figure out what the lesson is.

Where else in this world can you learn something valuable about people, about getting things done, about hiring, about reading comprehension and filtering, about setting expectations, about value, about life... for just $5?

I've found one really good writer on fiverr though I have to wait a couple of weeks to get my articles back.

I also use fiverr for social bookmarking and some back link diversification, had a few that were a waste of time, the majority have been OK.

Some gigs were worth $5 when I should of paid a lot more and got quality work, so were a waste of time.
