What stuff to be sent to the email list.

I have a list of around 2500 users who had subscribed themselves for getting the Trial of my Wordpress based Themes.

Now, I have already sent the offer twice to grab the product for some discount, and ofcourse since the users had already tried the product, some 6% of them bought the product.

Now, I was thinking that probably, rather then bumping the users by sending the discount offer again and again, I should probably also send them something meaningful from time to time.

What you guys think should be the best type of things that I should deliver to the email subscribers, so that they find it interesting and attach with the senders of the emails and somehow promote the products as well in the email, I send.

Send them related products like ebooks, software, programs, tips. You can send them anything. Then try to move off course and send them something different that has nothing to do with the wordpress niche to see if they are interested in other areas as well. But send good quality products no junk...

Provide them anything related to WordPress, WordPress plug-ins, WordPress themes, Blogging etc.

Provide them with tons of good value. Build a relationship with them. Proof your credibility. For example, give them some wonderful tips on how to make some good money with WordPress blogs. Or just tell them about few WordPress plugins that you think are essential for blogging. You can also recommend them about other options to make money online. Then you can just give an affiliate link to a good blogging tutorial. I will suggests just start with soft pitching and have a watch their reaction. If they are positive about it, just go ahead. Until you are providing them with relevant and useful contents, they should have no issues with that.

You can also provide them with good valuable free eBooks related to WordPress or blogging, containing your affiliate links in it. Good rebrandable books with embedded affiliate links in them are good giveaways. they will love you for those!

Bottom line: You need to build a relationship with your subcribers, provide them with more related & relevant contents and then just recommend good and useful products that can help them with their business or solve their problems. That's it!

    Hope that helps!

Don't always sell. If that's all you do, people will stop opening their emails because they already know what to expect. Send them some value. Share some valuable videos or blog posts. It's recommended that you send them free stuff. Having a list is all about relationship building. Once they like and trust you, then whenever you're selling something, they'll buy without hesitation.

Put yourself in their shoes... What would YOU want someone to send you?

You already know they're interested in Wordpress (otherwise, they wouldn't be on your list!). Why not send along tips to help them get the most out of it, or a list of new widgets they might find useful. Heck, you could even send along a few blogging tips to help them move forward once they've created their sites.

Of course, you'll also send them sales pitches from time to time. However, it's vital that they trust and respect you. Otherwise, you're always going to be "that guy" who bombards them with offers, but never has anything of substance to share with them.

Thanks a lot WhiteDove, you are absolutely right after sending couple of emails, I thought maybe sending something useful is required to be done at my end.

Thanks Amitabh for your reply. I think sending some type of report with some good insights on some kind of plugins or other stuff makes sense. I will definitely try out few methods you suggested, maybe it would work.

You are right, thats what I figured out after sending few emails. I will definitely try to send some useful content to the users. I wanted to build somekind of trust which I think doesn't comes directly through selling. I have decided to go through some reports and see how it all turns out.

      Hello Nicole,
Thats what I figured out after reading your posts. I need to put myself in their shoes. I would compile some good tips and tricks and would send them out packaging in a small report. It would definitely build some kind of trust.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

At the start of every week, I imagine my list don't even know who I am. So, they are all what I call cold buyers. I want to get these cold-buyers, to either a warm state or a hot state. So they actually buy products that I have either created or get paid on a commision basis.

So, I start buy sending them lot's of free high quality products and information. People love free stuff.

Then once the open-rates get to a level I like. I send them to a paid offer and then watch the money roll into my bank account.

Thats a really an interesting insight. I have never tried to send any free products to the list.

I will try out this method of sending some good free content and would bundle the deal in the near future once the trust level and email open level increases.

      Thanks

        Hi Jim,
        How about asking them?

Send out an email telling them you want to send them the most relevant information, so what do they want to know?

Respond to each reply personally. This list of replies will tell you exactly what to send out!
        Cheers,
        Gordon

          Hi Jim,

First of all, I want to say congratulations on building such an impressive list. I agree with the other posters, offer free products related to your niche, with sales offers in between.
