    You are allowed to have multiple accounts under the same main account for example if you wanted a Amazon UK and an Amazon DE account for example that is OK.

    Like Gaz says, you can have various localized accounts for different countries.
    You can also set up multiple tracking ID's within one account, so you can have one or more ID's for each website.
    If you are planning on doing something black hat with your sites or breaking Amazon's TOS for some reason this could be a reason for having multiple sites but you'd be pretty stupid do this.

    Otherwise there are no good reasons I can think of as Amazons affiliate program is based on a tier system with the more you sell, the higher the commission you get.
