John,

After the initial pain of getting accounts at all the sites (which SB3 helps with a bit by giving you the links to register). SB3 is very automated and a HUGE time saver. You enter the information you want posted, and it goes into each site/account, logs in and posts your information, then it moves onto the next site and so on.

I don't remember any Captcha happening. The login eliminates teh need for that. Once you start the process, it takes maybe 5-10 minutes max. to go through all the accounts and post. That would take an hour to two hours to do it manually.

I've been meaning to do a video on this, maybe next time I use it I will.

There is not 120 sites that work with it... Many sites are no good at all as they do not exist any longer. Some sites are blocking the auto submission and some sites have changed scripts due to spam.

There are no reports, help button does not work, many times it tells you a submission is complete just to login the site to find out it never submitted, The grab meta data does not always pull all information, no https support, and etc...

It is automative, on submitting yes.. You setup the accounts and enter your information on each one and save each one (one by one), there is no account creation that is automative.

As far as having a list outside the software, I asked for this list last year by sending a email to support and never got it...

I know Big Mike is aware of many of the sites used with it not being active anymore or constantly having server issues. I heard there was supposed to be an update comming out a while ago but have yet to see it or get a solid time frame on it.

The sites it does submit to though, I have never had a problem with them not getting submitted. The only thing I've noticed is if you are trying to bookmark your article at Ezine it always submits the home page instead of the actual article. It does this even if you add teh URL of the article as what you want to submit. Has no problem with doing it with Goarticles but for some reason it won't work with Ezine.

Yesterday, I paid a freelancer on Elance $50 (yes I could've gotten it cheaper) to create all of the accounts for a SocialBot profile - I told him the username, password (same for all) and email address to use (set up a random one in google).

Out of 140-ish sites, probably more than half work OK and the others are dead (I didn't count the exact number).

This account creation (via the Elance guy) took 24 hours and saved me a lot of hassle. I did have to manually put the working sites into Social Bot (from his spreadsheet) but that took around thirty minutes.

Outsourcing rules!

Part of my own strategy is to use Big Mike's other programs like PressBot, RSSBot, DirectoryBot etc to build those backlinks.

SocialBot is only about $7 so it's hard to go wrong...(no CAPTCHA with SocialBot)

Does Mike have a list of the sites we need to have an outsourcer create or do we have to type out the list of 120+ sites ourselves?

I have a guy that does batches from socialmarker (40 ish accounts) for me for about 15 bucks...I figure double that for 30 would be well worth it in saved time and effort.

From within SocialBot, you can export the entire list to a spreadsheet with a couple of clicks.

  I have Bookmarking Demon and SocialBot. BMD is WAY more capable, but its lack of updates and smaller support list make it less effective. I've been using them both, and SocialBot is winning me over.
  
  For the price, you can't go wrong. Plus, I TRUST Big Mike. That makes much of his software irresistible to me.

SocialBot is undergoing a major upgrade and the new version will be out soon. Purchasers of version 3 will the the upgrade for free.

I launched a new site week before last and am killing the competition in Google with the major keywords. How? SocialBot, RSSBot, and DirectoryBot.

What kind of results have you had with directory bot? I have submitted a site that I am not selling anything on, (just a site for my construction business) and have seen nor heard anything. I got all the email's that the link had been submitted and that I would get a approval or denial email. Almost a month now and no emails as to even if the links were denied. Just curious if you have revieved any emails with acceptance or denial of the sites you have submitted.

I have not yet tested DirectoryBot on it's own as I have with SocialBot and RSSBot. Yes, I've received some approval and denial emails, but certainly not anywhere near one for every submission. I spoke with Mike this morning, and the results checking function is already being worked out. The upgrade will be a free one, and will happen automatically when it is implemented.

I did get the emails that stated that the link had been submitted fromthe actual directories that they were submitted to, but other than that I have received nothing as far as approval or denial. Like I said it has been almost a month and nothing. I just wondered if it had happened to anyone else.

If I remember correctly, you have to open all of those emails and usually click a link in order to have your site included in the directory...

All the emails that I got said something like "thanks for submitting your link to XXXXX directory, we will review your submission and send you an email that your link has been accepted or denied"
Something like that. I'll go back and look at them again but I'm almost positive that is what they said.

Here is exactly what they all pretty much said:

Recieved your listing application.
You will recieve mail when the application is accepted or rejected.
Want to get more search engine visibility? Below are some reciprocal link web directories we found. If you link exchange with these directories, your site will be accepted within 3 days and you will get a permanent link and more online traffic.

Sounds like you've got Big Mike's ear...

Can you forward a suggestion, please?

It would be *super* if we could delete all those non-working sites ourselves.

As it is now, (and I just got a new computer and had to manually input ALL the usernames/pw's even to all the non working sites since there is no way to save or to get a report on what sites are defunct... ) if I want to outsource setting up a second set of accounts, I will have to pay double since I don't know which sites are OK or not.

Also, new sites were added a few weeks ago. But with all the non-working sites, I now have no idea which sites I need to set up accounts for, so to add new sites is pretty useless. Allowing the user to delete sites would solve a lot of problems.

Can't wait for the upgrade. Like it's been said, most of the sites are dead or are just all cookie cutter directory scripts that no one actually visits, so it's only good for backlinks. It's an OK program. Looking forward to an update so hopefully it can be of more use and more worth the money I spent on it.

  Because of the multiple upgrades Mike and Diego are working on at the moment, I think defining "soon" as this month is a bit agressive.
  
  Defining "soon" as before the end of March is a safe bet.
  
  BTW, Mike is just about finished with a major upgrade to the language translator. More languages, and waaa-aaaaayyyy more features.

  I bought it the other month, but was kindly given a refund cos it's not 64bit compatible. version I had was only for 32bit.

Sounds good. My preferred OS is GNU/Linux, so I could probably run this on my workstation. Although I can use Windows if I need to, it's nice to find solutions that will run on Linux or are platform-independent.

Thanks for the list Milan.

I have outsourced the creation of accounts, for the price that Mike is offering I don't expect SocialBot to keep updating dead links as the nature of many of these sites is that they will come and go. If you want to save time I normally find that any of the .info sites will not normally be long term sites.

If we have the ability to remove and add sites from the software that would be great, I haven't used the software yet so I may have missed this feature.

From the accounts that I created the following sites were down or gone.
