What's with the Point vs. Counter point on this board

Seems like everytime I pop on (yes I have no life and read this board all day everyday ) there seems to be dueling threads. Today is You do need a coach vs. You dont need a coach. Usually every other day it's IM is dead vs. IM Rocks and so on. I dont mind people posting their opinions one way or the other. It's just weird to immediately see a thread in the opposite direction almost immediately.

    A huge amount of SEO theory is just that: theory.

    People are building their lives on this theory.

    When two people use two conflicting theories in what is arguably one of the most important parts of their lives, then things will obviously get heated!

    It is great to see debate. Without someone challenging you, you will never have to defend your point of view. If you stop defending your point of view, then you can have no idea whether or not you hold a logical and valid point of view.

    I need a coach...and I am guessing you need a coach. A good coach. I would love to have a good coach. A bad coach would be a pain in the... There are those who claim to be experts and know little more than how much a good coach charges. IM rocks if you do it right and make money. It sucks if you don't.

    Now, did that clear up the contradictions a bit.

    My dear this world works on potential difference. We make our opinions based on opinions of others and that is why we keep seeing so many of them everyday. Its not just on this forum but everywhere in our daily lives that you find difference in opinion, that is what helps us form our own.

    It's only natural that you will come across more debates. It is a forum after all.

    A question with a simple answer will have only a few posts (as the question gets answered and the thread is no longer relevant).

    A debate can go on for many posts, even if it's only 2 people doing the posting.

    Don't think it's weird at all.

    Seems perfectly natural to me. Opinions in one direction usually do stir up contrary opinions, and quickly, its human nature. Its good to see both sides, stimulates creative thinking.
