That first sale, regardless of the amount, just seems to concrete the fact that there is money to be made on the internet.
Yes, it takes continued effort, as you have stated that you have already proved to yourself, but it still gives that confidence that there was SOMETHING that YOU DID that got you that first sale.

Now, as other have already stated, figure that part out, and you will be far above a lot of the crowd.

Revel in the success of today, focus on the direction of tomorrow!

Great job!! Waaaw this is so awesome.

I remembered when I got the first sale I start crying like a girl (I am not a girl hahaha), the amount I earned was $50,25. I can't forget this even if it passed more than 4 years!!

You need to analyze and track what you did and then scale up and repeat it again to get more sales, always grow your business constantly and search for new ways to make money.

Indeed! I just feel like working more. I did website related to weight loss two months ago. Actually it was my third website. That was the one that did the sale.

I choosed long-tail keywords very focus on my niche and did some backlinking. Actually if it was now I would do things quite differently anyway it worked

I'm currently building an email list that will offer dating tips and promote some affiliate programs. If everything goes well I will certainly implement the same tactic on my weight loss website and make it even bigger.

It's a whole process of choosing the right keywords, writing unique content and backlinking.

The right keywords are the ones that have a weak competion (sites that aren't seo for that chosen keyword and weak backling) and also with a good ppc value. People only bid high for a keyword if the ROI is better. I use the google adword and put exact match to know +/- the amount of traffic I will receive initially once I reach the 1st rank on google.

Then I do a list with about 30 keywords and pick the best one ( the one that offer the most traffic and market value) for my main page.

I build a website with a few pages promoting several products and my home pages shows the top products( normaly the ones where I receive the best comission lol).

After that I do backlinking. Write a huge amount of articles. I also used a spinner to change all the adjective to other synoms. Although now I write my whole content so I can improve my english. Which then I submit to:

- article directories
- youtube videos
- social bookmarking
- ads websites

All the post link back to my website using revelant anchor text.

and so on.... Not saying this is the most effective but it worked atleast to do my first sale.

It took me about 4 months. Back then I didn't even knew what SEO ment. I've been studying alot and putting my knowledge into pratice ever since. I also just kept focused on one strategy that is already proven to work.

I read many successful IM blogs. One of their initial main issues and why they took so long before having their first success. Was that they kept bouncing from one strategy to another. So I learned from them to not fall for the same mistake.

I only studied from free sources that I found from warrior forum, Pat Flynn, Tyrone Shum,Glen Allsopp, Sarah Young, Market Samurai tutorial, SEOmoz and several websites related to SEO tactics. This guys are great and share a tone of content. Practicly anything that is related to my strategy I read.

Tools I only use Market Samurai to check strenght of my competion I really find it very slow and I rather use Adwords to get my keywords. Rank checker to see where my website is ranking for each keyword, SEO Quake to see the PR and other stuff I like to check.

SpinnerChief, which helps me easily get synonyms for my articles.
