How Would You Make $3000 With a Web Hosting Affiliate Program?

I would like to know how one can make as much as $3000 per month with a webhosting affiliate program. Is this really possible to achieve? If yes, how can one start and build an effective marketing system that can bring in residual income every month?

Unless you provide your own web hosting, it will be hard to earn that much money, coz the big companies like hostgator or bluehost always have discounts and freebies for first couple of months to attract more buyers + there are always local people who have their own servers and they charge less as compared to bluehost and hostgator.

I read some people are making serious money with hostgator affiliate program. They pay you $120 per sale if you make higher amount of sales per month. But this niche is not easy to dominate. You may have to take lots of efforts to driving traffic to your affiliate website.

Offer to create basic sites for businesses as long as they sign up through my hosting.

It works, I've done it before. Although, there is much easier ways to earn the same amount. It is a whole lot of work.

It is - there are people earning more than this, from it. (I'm not one of them).

Hostgator, HostMonster and JustHost pay good commissions.

What you need is a site which attracts an enormous amount of traffic from "brand new internet marketers" who are looking into the whole thing and haven't yet got any hosting.

It also helps to give them some additional incentive to arrange their hosting through your links. (One pretty popular approach is to install a Wordpress blog, including some plug-ins and a selection of free themes, all free of charge, to people buying hosting through your link. You then promote your service as "Free blog design and set-up", or something of the kind. But be aware that it's very competitive indeed and the reality is that you'll need to be able to attract huge quantities of highly targeted traffic to get your income level up to the figure you mention: "general traffic" will be close to useless for this purpose).

I have earned over $3000 in a single month by becoming an affiliate of hostgator. All that I did was to pull out small business owners list from local search engine i.e. justdial dot com .. it has come to US and other countries also now. Once the addresses were ready, I did the following :

    a) I sent a direct mail by post to them.
    b) Followed up with a telephone call
    c) Booked orders
    d) Made them pay to hostgator through my affiliate link
    e) Sometimes walked through the process of payment by doing remote access.
    f) Designed wordpress blogs for them free
    d) I earned $125 per site because I sold over 21

I also used the google alerts system to draw leads to my inbox. Those who were discussing about website was coming to my inbox and those were from forum discussions. Through this google alerts system I signed up with over 30 forums and answered most of the questions raised by people about website and through that also I got some leads.

In my very first month I sold to over 30 customers though there were very many free websites available for the customers as an alternate and best option. Google is offering in India free website to everyone who is interested. The domain name also comes free to the customers. No one need to pay a dime to get a website from Google. Inspite of this stiff competition, I managed to get 30 customers in my first month of my joining hostgator as their affiliate.

    Hope this helps.

It surely helps! This is a neat system to put up. Also, but this is not related to affiliate commissions, you can sign up for a reseller hosting account, then you create websites and sell them on Flippa. When you have sold them, offer to your client your hosting account. And now you have a recurring income from that client...

It's definitely possible to make that much and more. There are several that make big commissions monthly as webhosting affiliates. I follow a few highly respected marketers and the one that sticks out the most is Pat Flynn. If you want to see how someone is killing it with Bluehost, you will want to take a look at his income reports section that he posts every month.

I do not know how he makes this much with Bluehost, but I'm assuming it's from multiple sources of traffic, including traffic to his website.

    My Income Reports

He is very helpful when asking questions, so you could shoot him an email, I'm sure he will reply. He should give you some pointers towards your goal.

Yep! That's exactly where my affiliate links for Bluehost convert - it's more of a "be everywhere" strategy, utilizing the blog (of course), youtube (see ), and my podcast.

What has driven most of the affiliate sales, really, is showing a process that involves using hosting (for example, building niche sites here).

If you have any other questions, please let me know!

Up until about a year and a half ago I was generating $600-$1,000 a month from hosting affiliate programs. It really wasn't that hard People need websites. Even simple sites. And they're usually more than willing to sign up via your affiliate link if you offer a good price on creating their site.

Spending an hour or two creating a Wordpress site for $50 can turn into $150 if they use the host you suggest. Even if they don't, $50 for a few hours of work isn't bad.

It's not nearly as easy these days though. Most marketplaces are flooded with 99 cent sites and free hosting offers. They're all junk, but most people don't know that, or care. Plus you've got options like SquareSpace, Weebly, etc.

Whoa sorry - didn't mean for the video to pop up like that. Anyways, this video drives a lot of sales - directly from YouTube, and on my blog as well, since it shows people who are about to purchase through my affiliate link exactly what they need to do.
