Huge Niche - Wanna dominate It. Advice needed

This is my first attempt at establishing an info-centric Niche website.

First the main 2 keywords are taken (everything from .com to .me) ALL GONE
Then I have chosen to take AllAboutKW1KW2 (which is available) and it makes sense.
BUT when i go to the sites itself, its just some Adsence placeholders - all parked and monetizing with Ads.

Also I noticed all the sites on the google page 1 SERPS are all established news sites (Non of them seem to be Ad-Clicking targeted SEO'ed websites).

Since this is my first attempt at this I want advice if these stats I got from Google Keyword Research Tool is good enough to make it an attractive niche

Main key phrase - Competition - Low
Global Monthly Searches - 110,000
Local Monthly Searches - 27,100
Approximate CPC - $1.18
===============================

1st Long Tail (Related to Main 2 Keywords) - Competition is Low
Global Monthly Searches - 1,600
Local Monthly Searches - 1,000
Approximate CPC - $10.33
This has another 17 Long Tails Associated with it (All with Low Competition) and Monthly searches ranging from 210 - 1,600 searches
===============================

2nd Long Tail (Related to Main 2 Keywords) - Competition is Low
Competition - Low
Global Monthly Searches - 880
Local Monthly Searches - 480
Approximate CPC - $4.31
This has another 2 Long Tails Associated with it (All with Low Competition) and Monthly searches ranging from 1,000 - 1,600 searches
===============================

3rd Long Tail (Related to Main 2 Keywords) - Competition is Low
Global Monthly Searches - 720
Local Monthly Searches - 480
Approximate CPC - $5.20
This has another 1 Long Tail Associated with it (All with Low Competition) and Monthly searche of 1,200 searches
===============================

4th Long Tail (Related to Main 2 Keywords) - Competition is Low
Global Monthly Searches - 880
Local Monthly Searches - 480
Approximate CPC - $7.15
This has another 5 Long Tails Associated with it (All with Low Competition) and Monthly searches ranging from 1,000 - 4,400 searches
===============================

Then there are another 5 Long tails which I have not researched very well, but all are LOW competition and searches of not less than 800 with a CPC range of $2 - $9
---------------------

My Major issue is this,
1. Should I make this an Authority Website with the Associated 4 Long Tails being a kind of Categories?
2. If I do, should i register the long tail domains (Which are all available) and have them pointing at the individual pages or the homepage of the main website?
3. Should I make it like a central website with all the other associated Long tails being Micro Niches and all pointing to the central Website ?

4. All th long tail domains are available. Should I register .com or .info (which is just $2.22)?

Advices welcome

Then I have chosen to take AllAboutKW1KW2 (which is available) and it makes sense.
It would be better to do something like KWhelp.com or KWadvice.com. If you can get the KW as the first word in the domain.

Also I noticed all the sites on the google page 1 SERPS are all established news sites (Non of them seem to be Ad-Clicking targeted SEO'ed websites).
Are you sure there is money in this niche? Go to spyfu.com and see how many people are actually advertising for these exact KWs.

Since this is my first attempt at this I want advice if these stats I got from Google Keyword Research Tool is good enough to make it an attractive niche
Sure, they seem okay IF you have the Google search tool on EXACT searches.

    My Major issue is this,
    1. Should I make this an Authority Website with the Associated 4 Long being a kind of Categories?
Yes, go the authority route, especially if you decide to create a mini net with all of the long tail KWs and URLs.

    2. If I do, should i register the long tail domains (Which are all available) and have them pointing at the individual pages or the homepage of the main website?
That depends on experience, know how and how much cash you want to spend.

    3. Should I make it like a central website with all the other associated Long tails being Micro Niches and all pointing to the central Website ?
You could do that, create a mini net. It is a powerful SEO strategy if tou place all of the individual KW URLs on different class C IPs using SEO hosting. But it is expensive and time consuming. With such low competition I am afraid it may not be worth it.

With out knowing the niche I really can't help more. But I'd gues if all of the long tail KWs are still available, there is either no money in the niche or no traffic. Something might be amiss here.

    4. All th long tail domains are available. Should I register .com or .info (which is just $2.22)?
Depends on cash available. Go with .coms if you have the funds, .info if not.

    Hope that helps.

Are you aware that the "Competition" column in the Google Adwords Keyword Tool corresponds to the AdWords advertiser competition, and not to the search competition.

What this likely means is that there aren't many AdWords advertisers, and therefore you may not find many relevant ads are available.

    Use:
SpyFu Keyword Spy Tool for Keyword Research | SEO Software & AdWords Tools
    and
    http://www.keywordspy.com/

These will give you additional CPC and advertiser information for any keyword.

If there aren't a good number (ideally 5-10+) for your keyword, then it might be the case that your CPC will be significantly below the value given in the keyword tool.

    Best regards
    Will

I see that all your KW have Low Competition. This seems awesome but it actually means that there are not a lot of Adwords advertisers (you're in the Adwords tool) and this normally means that there's not a lot of money to make.

When I choose my KW's I never look at the amount of global searches but only for the amount of exact searches. For the main KW I'm looking for > 3000 Exact searches. For the LSI's you can go lower.

Take a close look what's on the first page, you're telling it are mainly Newspages. For sure they will have high rankings and that quiet difficult to rank them out.
I'm looking normally for PR 3 and less by > 3000 exact searches.

    Good luck!

Hmm.. that's not a bad niche to go with. But it will not be an authority level niche (as you call it).

PM me if you want to rank for all those keywords on Page 1 of Google

Why not good news? Seems like it is good to go. Give it a shot. Do you know about this niche? Maybe just try building the main site and see what you get. I'd go for it with those numbers.

Streetbacon - good job helping this guy!

My two cents - Yes go for it. from what you have shown us it seems like as good of a niche as any to start with. Better then what most people start out with as their first authority website. To many people try to take on sites with 100,000 or 1,000,000 searches and get a ton of professional competition as a result. They then think they just can't do it and give up. OR they spend hundreds of dollars on all sorts of automation tools and never learn to fix their core problems.

You need to learn and the best way is with a site that you can have moderate success with. You will get positive feedback on the things you do well and learn from those you don't.

      Here are my tips:
      1) Forget the BS about needing to post new articles every day for fresh content.
Shoot for 18 - 25 pages of quality written pages. You can add 1 every month after that.
      2) Each page focuses on one keyword phrase or long tail keyword phrase.
      3) each page MUST HAVE excellent on page SEO. Its easy but you have to learn it. You can get the clickbump SEO plugin from warrior craigrc I believe or seopressor is another to help you with it or you can just read warrior forum .
      4) Only post 3 pages a week when starting the site up.
      5) DO NOT flood the website or pages with links right off the bat it looks unatural and google WILL penalize the pages. I have done tests on this so do NOT listen to the people selling backlinks saying it won't happen. IT WILL.
      6) Google won't start sending you consistant traffic or start giving your pages ranking until 4 - 6 weeks after you start. That has been my experience.
      7) for backlinking build them slow and natural a few a page PER WEEK to start. Once you get past that 4 week or so period you can start increasing to 25 - 100.
      8) IF your goal is to make money then be patient and do quality work. Don't try to rush the backlinking.
      9) if you want to get a great method to follow on building the website, internal linking, backlinking etc. find the "Fast attack SEO" program and buy it. read it and do what they say. IT WORKS!!!! Its like $10 bucks. the best $10 you will ever soend. I have no affiliation.

If you follow the fastattackseo method (there are many others of course) you will have an excellent chance of getting many many first page positions on google.

        one last tip.
buy a second domain with a similar name.
start working on it 2 - 4 weeks after the first.
You can rewrite the articles from the first site for the second.
You can use a similar keyword phrase BUT NOT THE SAME for each article. use the keyword tool to find a variation of each articles phrase.

        WHY do this?
        1) If you screw up the first site your backup site will be better then the first and get more traffic.
        2) If not then you will have 2 sites in the niche each earning money with out to much direct competition AND it will be much less work then 2 distinct sites on different topics.

Another tip: make sure your permalinks have the keyword phrase as the url. for example:
        assume site is abc.com
and your keyword phrase for an article is big black dogs
the url for the article should be:
        http:/abc.com/big-black-dogs

    Wow,
Im so glad I made this post. Thanks a lot @Thinking_man_too and StreetBacon. I have learnt a lot.

I am having a major website customized for me which I hope to spend most of my time with and is my dream project, and another project I feel will be huge But they both will take some time and resources, and I thought to get some knowledge about Niche Marketing, and so settled for Authority Niche.

Seems this niche isnt bad after all, so I'll go for it.
First I'll get the FastAttackSeo, read it before doing anything, because I'v found out that even the Theme one uses makes a lot of difference.

ByTheWay, what do you guys recommend for the following:
    - A Good Theme
    - Keyword research course
    - Adsense Lecture course.

One thing I havent said is that I'm in Nigeria (though all my researches targeted the USA) and sometimes buying stuff $10 here, $8 there and $15 another place costs hugely on us (as we have to pay CC or paypal agents diff commissions), and as such If I can buy most of these stuff from one source it will be great.

    Thanks again folks

I would buy the fast attack seo as that really works. It is a blueprint you can follow.

For Themes I would not buy one to start out. there are plenty of good free ones:
Atahualpa (very customizable but takes a while to learn)
    magazine basic
heatmap is a good adsense theme
Adsense daemon is a very good adsense plugin to use on a regular theme.
No need to buy a theme as you can pretty much get all the functionality you need from plugins.

I used to use a lot of fancy purchase dthemes. I found that they looked better and people stayed around and read more but I actually have better sales with the simple free themes as I make most money off adsense and amazon and I don't wanmt people to read for 5 minutes and leave. I want them to read for 1 minute and clcik an ad so I make money.

I do still use a few premium themes for blogs I want to build reader engagement with.

For the keyword and adsense courses yo will learn all you need by searching the warrior forum and reading. Many people will post links to good articles as well.

Star here the reading is free.

Finally do use wordpress it is free and easy to make and manage awebsite with and there are thousands of free themes and plugins to use. And plenty of people with experience to help you.
