Has anyone used this Flippa feature?

I have a site that should sell for several thousand dollars. If I list on Flippa and want to get as much traffic as possible, I am wondering about using their upgrade feature that sends it to their Twitter followers. Has anyone used that feature? Is it worth it? I think it's like $80....

I wouldn't. Haven't heard anyone talk about it. I would get the featured enhancement the last couple of days of the auction for maximum exposure.

Do not waste your money on that. I used it once and I may as well have thrown $80 out the window. It generated no extra views and is terribly over priced.

Put it towards front page listings. Much more effective.

Great. Thanks for the advice. I will do the featured thing on the last day or two then.

I have also used the Twitter upgrade but didn't get good
traffic from it. But the thing is that if you are certain that
your site will sell for "several" thousand dollars, it won't
hurt you to pay for ALL the necessary upgrades. The thing
is that just 1 person who sees might be hell-bent on buying
and might end up buying even at the BIN.

I say this also because I know a close friend who sold a
network of just 10 sites for a whopping sum to just 1 of
the interested persons on his auction. And yes, he paid
for the upgrades, especially the Featured listing upgrade,
but didn't get good enough traffic. But just 1 of them
    converted big time.

So, it's worth repeating - if your site has all the possibilities
of selling for "several" thousands, it won't hurt to pay the
total $250 or so for all the upgrades, but if your site is
not going to sell for more than $1,000, it might not be a
    good idea.

Well, thats true. But like Doherty192, Will someone throw money out of the window as this ain't effective? Instead, I would donate to the Charity . But, The method seems to be powerful as Fiverr has a good amount of followers though.

i used featured only in the last 6 hours. I wouldn't say it is a waste of time, I had some good luck with it.

Don't go for it unless you have good bids already.

To add to what I said earlier, it's BEST though to have
YOUR other ways of getting interested traffic to your Flippa
auction, if you are sure it will sell for "several" thousands,
rather than depend solely on Flippa upgrades.
