Recommendations for a FAST server

Hi folks

Just need some recommendations on a fast server. Currently just using a shared Hostgator account, but sometimes sites are sooooo slow to load on it, need something quicker.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated, particularly in regards to companies with fast hosting.

Are you looking for a "fast server" or "fast hosting"?

Getting even a low end server will be much faster than "fast" shared hosting.

Sorry yeah I should clarify that - I'm looking for fast hosting - improve pageload times. I'm well aware of apps like Cloudflare and Amazon S3 for CDN stuff - just looking to get the base response time much quicker.

  Rackspace requires serious technical expertise if you use a cloud server. Their other options get quite pricey.
