Trying to Figure Out How to Put Opt-In form In Header

Can anybody recommend a theme that will allow me to put my opt-in form in the header? I saw someone's and I liked it. I think her's was customized, though. I'd like to have a picture, some bulletpoints and then the opt-in box right in the header. Then my blog below. Any suggestions?

Flexibility 3 theme is something that I recommend.

The opt-in box doesn't go in the header - but there is a 'feature' section directly below the actual header itself.

Take a look for yourself: Artistic 1 Skin

That's where I locate my opt-in box for maximum exposure on every webpage.

Generally I reveal benefits to signing-up on the left hand side and present the form on the right hand side, but you can merge them together to have one big block if you so wish.

    NOTE: The theme costs $127.

    Logic outweighs all.

I know this post is old but I came across it and thought i could help
          you can use many themes

          Paid are:
          OptimizePress theme
          FlexSqueeze theme
          SqueezeBoss theme
          Squeeze Theme
WP Sales Page Plugin (Plugin into a already free or paid theme)

          Free are:
Responsive Theme (in the wordpress collection inside any wordpress theme)

You can pay some one on fiverr.com to edit a free theme and add your autoresponder code into the header container box. I believe it is possible and should not cost very much. Even on elance you could probably get it done for under 50 bucks.

If you are going to spend a good amount of time making such websites you should invest in a good paid theme. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OptimizePress over all the others. OptimizePress is used by most of the better marketers. It also has membership features, exit pop, paypal integration, split testing, additional graphics, tutorial videos, and integrates with membership software like "Wishlist Member" or "S2member" to create membership sites. Or create digital product buy and download sites.

Also the combination of OptimizePress and Wishlist Member is what a lot of marketers use to distribute their WSOs here on this site.

I hope the info helps, laterz

Took a 4 month break from the forum to expand an offline business, but FlexSqueeze themes has the option to add video opt-in or a standard opt-in "above the fold" whereby you can optimize your homepage, and have the opt-in too. They are a bit expensive tho, you can watch the video here: FlexSqueeze

Maybe take a look at Custom Header Widget 1.2 plugin by Shakti Kumar. which puts a widget area above the header.

After install and activate, it will display in Dashboard>>Appearance>>Widgets.

To fully activate, header.php file mast be modified. Path to code for header.php modification is Dashboard>>Plugins>>Custom Widget Area>>Edit. Click on red text on widget edit page and copy following: "if function exists .....thru ....:endif;"

Then access header.php file: Dashboard>>Appearance>>Themes>>Editor>>header.php and paste above code just below </head>. Add: <?php just before "if", and after "endif; Add: ?>.
    (omit quote marks).

Now you've got a new widget area above the header into which you may install other widgets and change those that show on a page to page basis with the Display Widget plugin.

    Just a thought.

The problem is that you must do additional work to get it working. As you stated adjusting the code to header.php

With something like OptimizePress just load and works. Plus wonderful graphics and many other features already for you in one easy package.

I'm just saying, you can do what you want
but you can save yourself a lot of heartache.

You can use this code to place the opt in form into your header by editing the header.php

    Code:
    <div style="position: relative; top: -100px; left: 1000px; width: 117px; height: 0px;">
You'll just have to edit the top and left values to place it correctly and the width/height to match the size of your opt in
