Indy Sales Reps - Tax Question
I offer a service geared towards high school athletes and their promotion to college coaches.
I am trying to offer college students a chance to sell these services to these high school aged kids using social media (FB, Twitter and such)
Since these college aged kids are not your typical Indy Sales Reps and working for multiple companies.... I do not want to "hire" these kids... and only plan on paying them commission.
So how do I make it legal? Do I personally have to worry about them filling their taxes as a contractor... or do I just deduct the commission payments on my own tax return?
Im actually wondering if it would be beneficial for me to just market this mostly myself.... or actually go with the idea of letting these kids help get the word out.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
