Thanks. I think I've probably squandered (time and money) by pointing in the wrong direction, or losing focus. Good news is...everything is fixable. I'll take what I've learned lately and retool.

Thanks. Both ventures were MLM related (and I'm still quite active in both) but I haven't figured out how to "crack the code" on internet marketing and MLM. My MLM business requires a great deal of personal interaction (which I don't mind) at signup, so I can't really automate the whole process. That said...It will be nice to learn how to get leads.

Well...that was sort of why I started my blog. I know just enough to be dangerous...but not great at it. But, I started the Passive Income Newbie blog (I swear I'm not trying to be spammy here...) so I could connect with other folks that knew a bit, but maybe had different skillsets than I have.

Hey Michael, welcome to the forum! This is so true, I think its important to pick one thing and start. Since you have done so well in MLM, have you considered getting involved in offline? Your skills might translate well there.

I checked your blog, I like it. Very interesting and eye catching. How are you going to monetize it? Do you have a product you are planning to sell to your list?

Thank you Richard! It wasn't 40,000 in online sales. It was about $10,000 from online sales, and $30,000 from my network marketing business so far. Still...mailbox money.

Hi Michael and Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you have your hands full.

You mentioned passive income streams and in my experience, it takes a whole lot of work to create real income and then to maintain it.

The closest thing I've ever had to real "passive" income was my investments in real estate where I had a property manager managing them or my other investments.

However, even those took some time to make sure everything was going ok.

As for online marketing, it takes a lot to get it going and then it runs mostly on autopilot but you have to stay on top of it to keep it making money and make sure everything is running.

So, I don't think it is so much "passive" as something that runs mostly on its own with your directions and corrections along the way.

Anyway, welcome and hope you have fun and learn what you are looking for.

As for San Diego, love that area. May be speaking there in June so might look you up.

Congratulations Michael and welcome! I grew up in San Diego - though I live in Seattle now. Check out Roberto's for great Mexican food. They're the bright yellow and orange buildings you'll see around town. Be sure to dive into their spicy carrots - but have a bit of salt on hand in case they're too much for you. (Salt directly to the tongue neutralizes heat.) Enjoy!
