Hey Guys... Where Did All The Money Go?

I'm writing this after reading someones blog about the economy, Obama and the general welfare of our country. I also just read another "negative" news story in one of my local newspapers. They both were complaining about the economy and the whole crisis that we're facing.

Or rather, they're facing.

You see, it's every day of every week of every month for the past couple years now that news media and most people have been reporting, complaining or worried about the economy and where it's been headed, where it's been, and why it's that way.

The negativity is outstanding if you really step back for a second.

Now don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people who lost their jobs, some businesses are hurting, and some people don't have any money.

But not everyone.

If you really take a look around you, you might notice that there are people spending big money. First class is still always sold out, and tons of businesses are doing great right now.

If you don't pay CLOSE attention, you can easily be SUCKED into the negative bubble that so many people are a part of. And if you focus too much on "WHERE DID ALL THE MONEY GO? I HAVE NO MONEY!" well then, you guessed it - there will be no money for you.

Focus on the opposite: "WHERE DID ALL THE MONEY GO? I NEED TO FOLLOW IT." Focus on what you want/desire - create a strategy to accomplish goals that will take you to where you want to be, and do NOT focus on fear. Fear undermines everything that you work towards if you let it exist.

As Frank Kern so boldly stated, "Money is everywhere. Do not believe the broke people who try to tell you otherwise. It never goes away, it simply moves and multiplies."

The broke people who try to tell everyone else that everyone's broke and the sky is falling down will remain broke, negative, and unsuccessful.

Think about what questions you ask yourself when thinking about your situation... do you ask yourself, "when will this all get better? when will I start to make money... will I ever make money?"

If you think that way, you've got it all wrong.

Instead, start asking yourself questions that will be constructive towards your development... whether it be online, offline, or both (or even unrelated to money). Think about a number you'd like to make every month and triple it... then ask yourself

"how can I make $XXX a month while helping others succeed and have fun in the process?"

If you shift your habits that shape the way you think, and start thinking this way, I guarantee that you will accomplish your goals and become successful.

Do what rich people do, and stop doing what poor people do. Work hard, take charge, find something, stick with it, set goals, set deadlines, and measure progress. To get to this, identify with your constraints - what's holding you back - and face them head on.

Surround yourself with positive thinking people and turn off the TV - leave negative people behind.

Now I know this has been a popular subject lately, so I'll touch on a bit since it's my area of expertise: For everyone who has moved in a positive direction towards offline internet marketing - great job. For those who have made money from it - even better job.

This is an example of following the money if you haven't made any income yet online, don't have a list, and need money now. It's always been a good area to be in, but you'll find more and more business owners looking for ways to ... follow the money (increase their bottom line), especially with the way the economy is. Remember to identify problems AND opportunity's rather than just problems themselves.

"In times of change, learners inherit the Earth...
... while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world...
... that no longer exists."

- Eric Hoffer

      John,

Very good post. Instead of listening to the same news day in and day out-I have decided to not be a part of this economy. Its too negative! There has to be positive and that is what I choose to surround myself with.
