Anyone having problems with WP Twin?

I absolutely love and use WP Twin frequently, but lately the site isn't 'deploying' at the final step....

Is anyone having the same issue?

And yes, I already contacted support. And even though I love WP Twin, I hate their support team....they never solve my issues. I always have to solve them on my own. I waste more time with their vague questions back and forth versus getting an answer.

So, I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same or if I have to look into another cloning plugin.

      Are you still having this issue? I have been looking to get this, but not sure now if lackluster support on top of product not functioning now.

      Would it be safe to assume since no update here that you didn't experience the same problem? Were you able to deploy & how did it go?

        Hi Greco,

        Support was never able to solve the issue, they gave me some cheap excuse of it being related to file size. However, I have cloned sites a LOT larger, so file size was not the problem. Luckily the site was still live so I used Backup Creator as a backup clone thing.

        However, I still use WP Twin everyday, and love it (when it works). But just know that if you have an issue, don't waste your time sending a message to support, because the rep just gives you a vague cheap answer. Instead use a backup to your cloning.

        Others may have a different opinion, but that is my 2 cents! Good luck!

  • Sorry you are having problems with WP Twin. I have used it for about a year and LOVE it. If you asked most people what they love the most about their house most people probably wouldn't say the foundation. And yet, without the foundation nothing else would exist. That is how I feel about WP Twin. It is the single most impotent plugin I have. If a redirect plugin goes bad, oh well. It is something I need to sort out. If my blog gets hacked or goes down it is more than an inconvenience. It's a disaster. With WP Twin I can have my blog back up and purring like a kitten in a click or two.

    I am in the process of moving from one hosting company to another and had a problem with the newly moved clones not working. I contacted WP Twin support and they were amazing. I got my first response from them within 5 minutes. They were incredible. The best customer support I have ever had with any product hands down.

    If you are going to make a clone try this. Before you make the backup disable ALL plugins. Make the backup and then when you deploy it re-enable the plugins after deployment. If you forget to disable the plugins before deployment rename the plugins folder to xplugins via ftp. Then refresh the blog dashboard and it should show up. Go back to your ftp client and change the name of the plugins folder back to the default name of plugins. Refresh the dashboard again and re-enable a few of the plugins at a time and you should be good to go.

    WP Twin has saved me from crashes due to rouge plugins, hacks from creeps, and simple coding errors. I am not affiliated with them in any way and don't sell their product. I can truly say that this script is a miracle. It has saved me over and over again. It is the simplest, fastest, most reliable, and most valuable plugin that an Internet Marketer can buy.
