How long does it take to get Youtube videos indexed and ranked in Google?

Although I am comfortable in other areas of marketing, video marketing is fairly new to me. My question is how long does it take for a You Tube video to get indexed in Google and on page 1 of Google assuming that you have the proper SEO for the video, and an uncompetitive keyword you are trying to rank for?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    hello,

    I have seen your youtube video.... the key is to fill everything out, like description. Tell YouTube want your video is about, and Google, because Google works on keyword descriptions in your video.

    Like at my youtube video for example, one of my videos got over 2,000 views.

      Ping your video, that always helps mine get picked up by google.

      I've seen video's get ranked in as little in a few hours with proper optimization and pinging. Sometimes it takes a little longer.

      Backlnks is longer route to see the results just from that alone. Backlinks will always help but I doubt you will see immediate help from it.

      In my opinion you should try to replicate the natural from of Reputation Management. Your site should build a natural flow of backlinks and traffic. It is up to you as a knowledgeable webmaster to twist your ups and downs.

    Why do you want a YT video on Google? If people want to watch a video, they go to YouTube. If people want a written document, they go to Google. If you're successful on YouTube, it'll get indexed on Google quickly.

      Having a video ranked on YouTube quickly is an amazing way to rank high in the SERPS for keywords.

      Videos, if optimized properly can get ranked quickly because of Youtubes authority. It is effective for most niches, but not all.

    You can pretty much treat the youtube video as you would a website. Backlinks are a must if you want it on google. I would suggest using social bookmarks for indexing and IP diversity then get high PR backlinks to it with your keyword in the anchor text.

    I know I have my blogs setup to ping automatically all over the place. Are you suggesting to manually ping the youtube videos?

    Can be done in minutes. Helps if you optimize titles with primary KW, use all appropriate tags, and it doesn't hurt to throw a few links at them!

    Really just depends on keyword(s) and competition. I've seen it done in a few hours. As long as you did a good job with the video SEO you shouldn't have trouble getting indexed very quickly. Google loves youtube!

    Time taken to index your video can vary with different factors. The trick I use to index my YouTube videos quickly is that I tweet my video within few minutes of posting it. I also ensure that there is sufficient tagging. Sharing your videos on Facebook also helps. When a number of people re-tweet and/or start talking about your video on Facebook, it gets indexed quickly on Google. I hope that helps.

    It could be in 15 minutes if you social bookmark it and do some other nifty stuff... Then send some social bookmarks, profile links, video submissions w links, and tons more links back to your video page, and watch the rankings climb, and be more sticky... send traffic to your video pages, it is good.
