Just want to share the joy of finally getting to sell a blog which i was trying to sell from January..

I tried flippa but the highest bid was: $400
Tried this forum but the best offer was: $575

But the place that i actually got it sold, was the last place i even thought of when i was thinking where to list my site for sale. EBAY!!

Thanks to ebay i got my blog sold for: $900
this is by far the most money i have ever gotten online in one day

My only problem with ebay is the amount of fees they charge customers ( they are also known as feebay). However, in your case the fees are secondary to the profits you have made. It helps to shop around and analysis the different platforms for selling and their fees structure.

I've seen sites listed on local Craigslist posting as well. There are lots of people out there with money to invest that are looking for established businesses to buy. These people might not know anything about website creation, but maintenance is a lot easier to learn. For them, tossing a few thousand into a site that's already making hundreds per month is a great option.

Compared to traditional brick and mortar companies, it's a vastly smaller initial investment and revenue starts kicking in on day one.

I have bought a website off ebay. thought I was getting a scam job, but I actually still talk to the guy and we have become good friends.

I do think you have to be careful, but glad you sold it on ebay.

Just goes to show, there are lots of ways to get traffic to stuff we are selling.

Cool. occasionally there are some good sites on eBay, but mostly, it's cookie-cutter stuff. Your buyer must have waded through a lot of crap before finding your site. Congrats.
