Your Home Office (How to transition)

I'm in the middle of moving to a bigger place where one room will become my dedicated office. This wasn't so much my idea... as much as my family thinking it is a good idea, but I plan on trying to make the best of it.

The thing is... since I started IM I do about 80% of my work from the sofa in the living room, 20% at coffee shops. I've gotten pretty used to working with my family running around, the TV on, and all of that. I can tune it out just fine and I like being able to keep an eye on them while I work.

I'm worried that being isolated in my office is going to make it HARDER to focus rather than easier.

I'm also really used to sitting up against a pillow, covering in a blanket, and being totally comfortable while I write and work. I'm not sure exactly how I'll be able to deal with sitting in an office chair all day...

On the bright side, I'll be able to put up more dry erase and cork boards within reach and I'll be able to decorate my office like an office... but I'm still worried my productivity will plummet. Any suggestions?

(I thought about turning down the office but the kids have made it clear this is very important to them.)
