Making money on Facebook - in light of new changes...
Here is a quick work around you might want to use if you use Facebook to make money.
As you may be aware, you can no longer set a default tab on your Facebook page. In addition the top "Cover" image cannot contain any call to action, web URLs or contact details.
This stops us from directly driving traffic to our offers as soon as users hit the page. Also, it may be harder to attract new people into your funnel - although Facebook seems useful for retaining current customer base.
Here is what I decided to do:
- Instead of embedding the ad in the page and setting the default tab I simply created an app with the offer.
- I then redirected the Facebook ads to my app.
You may already be doing it, I'd never thought of this before (I got quite upset about the new changes).
I'm still waiting for the approval of the ads so I'll let you know how it goes.
