Does any one know where I can hire some one to write a 7-10k word fiction kindle book? They would need to have a good imagination and make the characters interesting. I cant seem to find any one on freelancer or odesk that is a good writer and will take the job.

That is a great question Thomas. I don't have someone in mind but I will put the word out to some of the awesome authors that I know who ghostwrite.

Sounds like you already know this but many of the people on some of those services that you mentioned will not write stuff good enough or even worse, give you regurgitated or copied content so when you do find someone, definitely do your due diligence. Good luck, hopefully you will find someone good...they are out there.

I would go right to Kindleboards and negotiate. This way you can check their books, their profiles, etc.

My guess is that such an animal will be hard to find.

Writers who are both qualified and interested in writing for Kindle are probably writing for their own accounts.

thomas1984: You're really describing a ghostwriter, not a freelancer. One can be both, but generally a ghostwriter demands a lot more money because (or if) the quality of the writing is several notches above an average quick-article type freelancer.

It's one thing to ask someone to toss together some articles on a subject like weight loss or the latest iPod, and it's quite another to ask them to bring all of their creativity to bear and write fiction---especially if it's fiction that you, the paying party, are specifying the characters, premise/plot, etc. that it will have.

The latter is WAY more work. The job you describe, I will guess would cost you at least $300 to have done well (minimum... I think many would require $1000 or more). Most writers are going to realize that if they can write good fiction, they might as well release it themselves and build a body of work than to do it for others for a cheap one-time flat fee.
