Affiliate Marketing for Musicians and Bands

Hey everyone, I have a an idea and I want your input.

Would it be possible for me to set up an affiliate program for my band to sell digital downloads of our music online?

There are almost no bands doing this. What would be the best way to set up an affiliate program for music? As a marketer, what percentage would you want to make from selling the music, and what marketing tools would you need?

Which of these would be best to set it up with:
Clickbank
Ejunkie
Or a site for musicians like
Menyou
FanDistro

And what would be the best way to recruit and find affiliates to sell the music?
Do you guys think it would be possible to recruit a massive army of affiliates and be successful with this? The music has a pop indie rock mainstream sound, think John Mayer or Taylor Swift

    I was looking for affiliate programs in the music niche as I have a facebook fan page on music with 3500 fans and growning (not in the pop indie rock unfortunately).

    The fact that there is no bands doing this means that affiliate marketing probably doesn't work for that market. I can be wrong though. Nobody can say if it is going to work unless you try it.

    Affiliate products for bands are not so successful as I ve seen personally. But it depends on your marketing strategy as well..

    Clikcbank and CJ are the best ..

    Yeah give some share like 20%-50% to affiliates!!

    If you can market your squeeze page better and get a few good sales in the first couple of hours, I see no reason why people wont be promoting you!!
