I Want To Choose Login Name and Password

I am noticing a trend and perhaps we can get someones attention here.

In the past, especially when purchasing a WSO, I have been able to select the Login Name I want and the Password as well. Recently that has been changing.

I guess I am a WSO Junkie, but I buy a fair number of products and here lately several of the purchases have assigned the User/Login Name and have assigned a Password.

This might not be troubling for the occasional purchase, but if I purchase many, I need to create some sort of log book or purchase a system like LastPass or Roboform to keep up with things.

From my point of view, access to someones WSO is the lowest security priority I have. Obviously these Logins and Password protection are not for my security but rather the security of the seller and is clearly needed to admit the folks who paid and block those who haven't.

For all my purchases, where allowed, I have the same User Name/ Login and Password for all WSOs to help keep my life simpler and more manageable.

I travel extensively and depending on the purpose of the trip, may carry different Laptops, iPhones etc and when I arrive, may have access to various computer systems. This just multiplies the problems.

So I would like to play a vote for easier, more convenient and vastly simpler access to your WSO products.

There are a several Big Name WSO guys on the Forum who are moving away from this "Let Me Choose" method. I am reaching the point of limiting purchases from them because it has reached the pain threshold.

That's my vote and I vote with my dollars. Anyone else agree?

    Sincerely hope you don't use that same combo to your sites, email, Paypal, etc etc.

    Otherwise it's not a "if" but a "when" to get your IM life in trouble.

      For sure, that would be unwise but for all the totally low priority low security places, most of us use an easy to remember User Name and Password.

      Bank accounts, Paypal etc...clearly better more difficult Passwords...

        You can always use a different account with LastPass for those low priority sites. One single password manages them all.

          That works if I sign up and synch all my systems and even then if I am on the iPhone, iPad or a friends computer or the system at work...no good!

            LastPass will work from any computer. I use it from several computers and have at friends' houses, too.

            I'm afraid you're not going to see changes made to make it all uniform. That wouldn't be feasible without telling people they could only use one platform. Each script/program handles things differently.
