5 Years of IM Experience - 1 Things Just Works Always...

In my 5 years of IM'ing I have got my feet wet in almost all the methods.

I have started more than 30 projects so far.

2 projects stand the test of time. The income has been gradually going up and does not show any signs of going down in the near future.

All the other projects lost its effectiveness and had to be let go.

Those 2 projects were based on content.

So it all comes down to this: CONTENT IS KING.

And of course you have to market your content too... but after a while it can generate a momentum and does not need the push.

I guess one cannot go wrong creating content.

There are many other successful methods of making money online - I don't disagree with it.

But...

Content - its the foundation of internet. Foundation for your own business too.

Even if your business is selling some services - marketing it with content will give a steady flow of genuine customers.

What say.?

I agree with you --"Content is King'... Besides, the Internet is all about information... So if you can't bring any info to the table, then you'll hardly get noticed...

I agree - Content is King! If you look at nearly any true authority site that is probably making great money, you will notice that it delivers content depending on what the website is based on. Too many people overlook the importance of good content

That is right, content always rules, as far as the internet is concerned, but with the new Google update and all, any content won't do. One needs quality articles to get the ranking they desire.

Google has shown all of us in the past year that quality, unique content sites are what they are looking for. I have seen that with some of my own sites as well Deepak.

What happens if 11 sites have great content for the same keyword? Who gets left off of Page 1 in Google?

Good point, actually - this shows that content might be the most important thing of all, but there are still other factors involved (backlinks, website optimization, age etc).

That being said, I believe that great content automatically generate buzz (and thus backlinks to your content). Content is still King - just that you need these other factors to support your fabulous content.

As they say, what's a king without his people?

Guess the guy with the least charisma. In highly competitive fields, if you notice who is winning all the cookies, it's the guy with the charisma.

      That's where SEO becomes important.

Links, social signals, on-page SEO... just a few of the HUNDREDS of ranking factors Google has said they use to rank pages.

    I agree.

But its not just about unique content. Its about content that helps people. Content that helps people gets talked about and shared. More people come to the site and they see the great content and then they talk about it. Then more people come. And so on.

What happens if 11 sites have great content for the same keyword? Who gets left off of Page 1 in Google?
If the content is really good and helps people, you won't need google. BUT, I totally see what you are saying here. Google rankings requires more than just the content.

Then again, having tons of content will get you traffic for tons of long tail searches whether you are targeting those keywords or not.

Whatever you do, you have to optimize. Someone writing the best quality in the world has no chance without the site map, a social media presence, and backlinks. You have to beat your competitors; and if you have a sought after keyword combination, you need to put up the best fight.

I surely agreed with you, dude. However, not every page will show up at the first page instantly. If the competition for a particular keyword is competitive, you have to work harder than usual.

You can write your own content, if you feel able to, or get others to do it for you. There are plenty of writers here if you look in Warrior Services, or on sites such as Odesk or Fiverr.

Or you could buy good quality PLR, rewrite it to make it unique and then post it to your site. Whatever method you use, just make sure that your content is relevant, useful and good quality.

I have been focusing on unique content that people find very valuable over the past year. It has been extra work to focus on quality content that is relevant and fresh but the results are finally showing. My 2 sites have been increasing in rankings over the past 6 months and both are now on page 1 not at the top spot yet (competitive keyword) but working on it.

    Quality content does rule!
