One site or more sites?

For starting affiliate marketing is it encouraged to start more than one site to find out the best one?

Thanks

  • I'd suggest have multiple sites. This kinda widen the chance of ranking them and would allow you to enter more niches.

This doesn't mean you need to have 100 sites to be successful, but just don't put all your eggs in one basket. That's my philosophy at least.

start with minimum of three sites and then when any of them start showing results then add more sites. I started with 3 sites and rite now at 14 sites, some of them not performing good so thinking of ways to using them in a profitable manner.

I played around with several niches for over 12 months. I have now gone full circle and am finding way more success by concentrating all my efforts to one niche. It is working for me as I am giving this niche my full focus...and achieving better results...!!! just my opinion...Hey we are all different...!!!

I'd sticking to 1 niche to start with, otherwise your efforts are diluted. Only venture to other niches when you are successful with that niche. Most successful internet marketers are in 1 or 2 niches. Choose a niche, dominate it and you'll make a lot of money.

I think it is important to diversify, I'm often surprised at which sites perform the best.

Instead of thinking about how many sites you want to build, you have to start by doing your niche research.

It is very important to choose the right niche, preferably one which you are passionate about. Most importantly, it has to be a profitable, evergreen niche with hungry buyers.

Then, you have to access the competitions. If the competition is too strong like the weight loss niche, you have to try the sub-niche e.g. weight loss for women after pregnancy, or choose another niche which has less competition.

Take you time to do your research now. If you don't get this part right, you are going to waste a lot of time, effort and energy in the near future.

    To your success

3 is a decent number to start with.

I would begin by researching a number of high potential niches for your portfolio. And I would consider the following when whittling down the options:

    1. Earnings Capacity - Are there well paid affiliate commissions, CPA options and recurring revenue options?

    2. Saturation - How crowded is the niche with affiliates? Some niches simply attract affiliates like a moth to a flame. You could do better elsewhere.

    3. Trends. How is the industry likely to fare over the next five years to a decade?

You're going to be investing real time and money, important to make sure it will payback at some point. Good luck!
