    thank Jeremaiah!

1000$ is a bit pricey right now... cant afford it right now.
    any ideas for smaller budget?
i don't mine to put 1000$ on advertising if that will bring me profit back..
but just to start with 1000$ right away without knowing if the system works and i might lose all the 1000$ i cant afford myself it right now.
im looking for something to start with about 30$ per day and scale up while succeeding... any ideas ?

I would say bidvertiser is a bit junky for traffic, but I test everything and track everything, if it works, continue to use it, and if it doesnt chuck it to the curb.

i tried to use 7search , spent more then 100$ , got only traffic with out any conversion.

    hi metalice, yes becareful

as always if you are going to start using it start small, test to see, but I have spent over $200 on bidvertiser and a bloody waist of money. But for me I do not mind testing everything first.

Oh man, someone here just wants to reach that 10-post quota for the signature. Anyway, on with your question.

Are you using that Facebook page to interact with the fans? It could be a good way to make them convert into real customers. Another way would be improving your call-to-action on the site.

If you want a quick, easy, and fast way to get new customers and you enjoy traveling (like i do), you might want to consider going offline. Simply create a QR code that points to your website, add a call to action then go to vistaprint and order a bunch of stickers.

When they arrive, go around to a bunch of places where you think your ideal customers hang out. You could even take this a step further and create two different "campaigns" - one for women looking for jewelery, one for men wanting to buy jewelery for women. Then you simply stick them up and watch the sales come in.

    Best of luck,
    Srdjan

      hi Srdjan,
yeah, it would be great , defiantly a great idea. the problem i cant go out and travel, just came back a few months ago from 7 months trip in south america, visited 9 countries so i cant go out and travel.
the customers of this site are US based, and the jewelry company isn't US based so its a little bit hard to share and leave your stickers in clothing store , etc in the US. if you have any more ideas , that aren't related to offline marketing i would love to hear!

      thanks!

Amazon - we already sell to amazon personally. and many other big chain stores in US. -so i dont know if i cant do something like that. linking back to our site...

Ebay - there are already people selling us there.

Esty - if im correct is kinda of online shop for small jewelry designer right?
i don't know if its fitting us..

can you use 301 redirect to your site? or should you link from the home page to your site? how those it really work with those platforms? what i will benefit from making additional shops?

        thanks!

It's true to say that most will stop selling on third-party sites once they have enough customers of their own, but you did ask how to get customers!
          thanks!

i think that if ill open a shop with Amazon , i will lose amazon as a client and they will stop buy directly goods from us.
and ebay and esty isnt for us. but thank you for suggesting! much appreciate!

I hope you have permission to use her name in your marketing? I ask as there's no point in investing in marketing if you're going to lose the domain a few weeks down the track.

i didnt offer them nothing. they offered me.
at first is should be only for establishing the site.
then they hire me on a monthly basis to manage the site
pictures, edit , shipping - everything that related to the site.
im now working there as a regular employe. - my job is my baby, "the site".

i want it to get bigger and bigger, sale more , make more. so im looking at ways to do so.
right now our designer name have 500+ searches monthly in the US , which means approx. 2 sells per week. which nice, but not enough. i want it to make at least 2 sells per day.

so for ideas how to do that i came here
hope that explain a little bit more.

    thanks

    • Suggesting that a jewelry designer market where women hang out is "genius"? I think the word is "obvious." :-)

Not all jewelry is created equal. Not all designers are sought after. Not every age group likes the same jewelry. Not everyone buys jewelry for themselves. Not everyone buys jewelry for the same reasons.

Is this woman: Working or retired? Homemaker or professional? Stay-at-home or active? Mother or childfree? From a large family or small?

Does she rent or does she own her own home? If owned, is it paid for? Same for her car. Is it leased or purchased? If purchased, did she pay cash?

What are the 5 websites she visits daily? Does she have a smartphone? Is she active in social media?

Having read that, what do you think the answer to this question is:

A small ad in the back of the print version of Real Simple magazine will run you about $2,000 for a single issue. Real Simple has a huge subscriber base, almost all women. Will this ad convert? Yes/No.

ok, if you have tried ppc program to get the good sales, you can also try to email marketing and you will get good target customers too. Join some jewelery forums and blogs to get much more target traffic. If you want to improve SERP and get higher level, you should choose short tail keywords, coz you have used your site over 4 months. Try to rank most relevant keywords in a long run, thus, you will get the good result in a free method.

the problem is that for the major keywords , in lets say , adwords, every click cost around $4. there is a very big companies there with a very big budget. which i dont have right now to spend on ads.

Adwords need investment and no guarantee to get sales, if you do optimize then you will get some serious free visits. i do not say that adwords is poor, i know there are some people depend totally on adwords and earns big income by playing with keywords.

What about Sitescout then. It'll cost you $500 to get started but the CPC is extremely competitive with real-time bidding so you get a really good bang for your buck. Highly targeted too.

Open up your own eBay store (it's ok if other people are selling your pr0ducts on eBay). Name your store the same as your website with your logo at the top. You don't have to bother with auction style listings, just use "buy it now"

The eBay traffic is enormous and you will make sales. I pull in an extra $3,000/month on eBay and drive traffic back to my website.

Cost is $15.95/month and .20 cents to list each item. eBay takes 8-10% commission.

    • First, I should mention that the OP and I have corresponded about her marketing challenges.

Her designer is virtually unknown in the U.S. That's bad. That means you can't buy AdWords with the designer's name as a keyword because you won't get many clicks or conversions.

So you take a step back and look at more generic keywords that describe the type of jewelry. Here, too, our OP is hosed because the big jewelry sites and shopping comparison engines bid on those keywords, driving the price up and up and up. She would be looking at $3 to $5 per click. Assuming a 5% conversion rate (which is probably high), it could cost $100 to acquire a paying customer. She doesn't have that kind of budget.

She needs to create brand awareness.

Ideally, if money were no object, she'd bring a PR firm on board to reach out to influencers and tastemakers. That would run anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 or more. But this is what a public relations professional can do:

An acquaintance is a limited partner in a big seafood restaurant that opened on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. She hired a PR pro. Less than a month after the restaurant opened its doors, it was featured on ABC News as having one of the "Top Five Lobster Rolls" in America.

The paint was barely dry on their signage. They'd been open only days. No one local even knew about their lobster rolls. Yet ABC News in New York trumpeted this place as one of the top in the entire country.

Their parking lot is always full. Cars spill out onto the roadway. Is it all because of the PR placement? No. But it was a jump start.

Now the restaurant has "as seen on ABC News" on all their menus, literature, business cards, website, you name it. Instant credibility.

That's what the OP needs to do. She needs to go to her stingy bosses and lay out a case for a marketing campaign and convince them it's an investment that will pay for itself many times over.

Don't you fall into the trap of looking at how much money you want to spend and then planning your marketing.

Figure out what you need to do and find a way to pay for it.

If you still need an invite to Pinterest, send me your email addy, I would be glad to send one your way.

        For some low cost stuff:
I would suggest sending product to fashion and makeup bloggers with P5 or higher blogs for reviews and giveaways. (Obviously contact them and make sure first.) Also, offer bloggers an affiliate marketing program. Lastly, you can always offer to pay for a post on a blog. I have been offered $20 - $100 to put a post on my personal blog with linked keywords.

        Good luck!

She needs to create brand awareness.

yes you are right, and for a small time we have used a PR , back at the time in LA, but as i have told you, this is not a local USA designer and this make it hard to hire a PR when you not 100% all the time in the area of PR work.

You might be able to find some at Alexa

            Join the community at IFB
            IFB Network
or advertise on their FB page:
            Independent Fashion Bloggers | Facebook

Or the style bloggers on Blogher
            Blog Directory | BlogHer

Again, vet the blogs first, and make sure their Google PR is what you need.

Honestly though, I would probably just hire someone on odesk or elance to find a list of 100-200 fashion and style (etc) blogs with a PR5 or higher. It might cost you $30 - and will save your own.

You can try that. Most bloggers want multiples though so they can run contests and if they are high-rank influencers with an audience in six or seven figures, they will want money as well. Your jewelry is rather high-end. I don't know how much product you'd be willing to part with.

Good luck with it. It's a challenge.
