Which is a bigger problem for you: "too few" (i.e. identifying them in the first place), or "too many" (i.e. choosing between them)? Or something different?

There's an easier way to find niches. If you are "looking for a niche" it's like swimming upstream and your personal views and interests can interfere with your logic.

If you carry a small notebook with you at all times and keep your eyes open for "niche ideas" it becomes a simple process.

In a store if you see customers attracted to a certain product - write it down. Check out the magazine rack in the store and if you note recurring topics, write down that niche. Listen to what people (friends and strangers) are talking about - often what is being talked about is a great niche idea.

When I need a new niche I just pull out the notebook and start researching the one and two word niche ideas I've scribbled down. There may be 50-100 ideas there and I research keywords, competition, etc.
Most prospective niches are quickly discarded but of 50 "potentials" I usually can come up with 2-3 good ones.

Please do not 'release balloons' for celebrations. The balloons and trailing ribbons entangle birds and kill wildlife and livestock that think the balloons are food.

Should you be even brain storming niches? I mean, a niche is where the buyers are. You can check out different magazines like magazines.com, dummies.com, etc. and pick up some ideas there.

Stop hurting your brain. Pick a market or niche that you like, one you have a true interest or even passion for. Everything else will fall into place if you do that.

What is the problem? Can't find any? Or too many to chose from?

Sometimes it's hard to chose one out of greediness, there are many niches that look promising and would like to do them all.

Make a list of everything you either know a lot about, like to do, or are interested in. Also add things you think you might be interested in once you learn more about them.

More likely than not, there are things on your list that will make good niches.

I think everyone could make a list like this and come up with good niches. We're just too busy looking everywhere else for what's hot or profitable.

It's bad if you analyse too much.. It's called analysis paralysis.. Which means you won't take action at all because you are analysing way too much..

Actions create results.. just do it! Whether the results is what you desire or not no one knows.. But ONE thing I can guarantee you for SURE - YOU WILL SEE RESULTS!

If the result is NOT what you want, do it again, and again, and again.. until you're satisfied.

    God bless you,
    Jeremiah

    P.S. Very good VIDEO:

Sometimes the less obvious niches are the most profitable because of less competition. I am in a few niches that most people would never think about but there are plenty of buyers in those markets.

Try and focus on things you genuinely have a passion or interest about. This way you can get into it and make things happen.

What i meant by brainstorming niches,Is not finding a profitable niche i can concentrate on,Is to enter that niche,I want to start niche sites,Problem is too much competetion,On good global searches,I want to promote clickbank products but sometimes there are no products related to the keywords i have found,Because the keywords i find are not "pain" and "how to" niches,The ones i find(and i rarely find any)are more like "is it interesting?" -.- , Im trying to find good keywords to create a site but it is just too hard! I think this is my main problem at IM,Finding Good Keywords!

If i will enter Weight loss,IM,MMO,Forex, poker,Web hosting and GIANT niches like that i will explode! i dont have the budget to control these niches or get into any good ranking in these niches!

what am i suppose to do? i feel jammed and im about to explode!

    chaoslinker007,

Based on what you have stated, it appears that you need to get a better understanding of the process for selecting good, profitable "buyer's" keywords. You don't seem to be targeting the right phrases. "Is it interesting" is not a keyword phrase. "Is mountain biking interesting" is a keyword phrase you can build upon for the purposes of internet/affiliate marketing.

I would recommend that you seek out the most highly ranked ebook/WSO or information on finding niches and keyword research. Once you have a better understanding, you may find it to be a much more rewarding and fun process.

    Good luck,

    Iris

I think that you could actually go into a giant niche, even if you don't have a huge budget. Pick a smaller sub-niche of those, with less competition, and easier to rank for. You could also bring traffic via FB or forums. But you need to be able to create/buy great content, so it should be a subject you care about or you might care about.

People often turn to the internet to solve their problems, and scour the web for solutions. I like to start at this stand point and try to put myself in the mind of someone who needs a particular problem solving. This will take you to a main niche then there will be sub niches from there and sub, sub niches. It's good to scratch the surface!

I agree with what others are saying...stop hurting your brain, make an educated decision, and jump in the deep end. Use personal experience to know what niches will do well....

I've wasted time in the past researching, planning, testing...but the best niches and projects I've had success with are the ones I just took action with. I made mistakes, but modified my campaigns and then profited. =)

The niches you mention are too broad, what you need to do is sub-niche and then even sub-niche again...for example, weight loss down to lose fat down to lose belly fat...

What you really want are sub-niche keywords that focus on specific problems that people have they want solved within broad niches with strong buying activity.

Here's another example, Broad Niche = Personal Development, Sub-Niche = Stop Panic Attacks or Stop Anxiety

    Hope this helps,

    Jeff
